Lily Allen has reportedly invited a camera crew into her life to record a U.K. TV series about her latest fashion venture. The "Smile" singer is said to have agreed to star in a TV show about the launch of her designer clothing rental shop in London, called Lucy in Disguise, with her half-sister Sarah Owen.
The documentary will also follow Allen as she starts up her own record label. A source tells Britain's The Sun, "Lily was approached about the TV show and thought it would help promote her new ventures as well as letting people get to know her a bit better."
Allen previously tried her hand at TV when she hosted her own talk show, called "Lily Allen And Friends", in 2008.

Lily Allen has rated her BBC Three chatshow "five out of ten" and suggested that it was a waste of licence fee payers' money. Lily Allen And Friends was dismissed by critics and suffered mediocre ratings when it debuted earlier in the year. The Sun quotes Allen as saying: "It was a period when I decided not to be a singer or go on tour. I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, licence payers - that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem. Actually, it's me." Despite the show's (more)...

Lily Allen's actor father Keith has come out in defence of his daughter - insisting the pop star is extremely brave for carrying on with her TV show despite a flurry of bad reviews.
Allen's TV debut, Lily Allen and Friends, was deemed a flop after it failed to attract high enough ratings, with its first episode only drawing 255,000 viewers - just two per cent of the potential audience.
But the 22-year-old has vowed to continue fronting the show after it was commissioned for a second series by British TV channel Bbc Three.
And Keith Allen has praised the singer for her resilience, especially in light of her recent personal troubles, which include suffering a miscarriage earlier this year and splitting with boyfriend Ed Simons shortly afterwards.
He says, "It was a very, very tough time for her. (But she has) come out fighting.
"To wake up the day after your show basically being told that you're talentless and useless, it's pretty tough. She carried on, and power to her. It seems unfair because I think the show is absolutely fine."...

Pop star Lily Allen has blamed the commercial failure of her new TV talkshow on the studio where it was filmed - vowing to change locations for the next season.
The Smile singer filmed her TV debut - Lily Allen and Friends - at Pinewood Studios in Hertfordshire, England, 30 miles (48 kilometres) west of London.
The programme was deemed a flop after it failed to attract high enough ratings, with its first episode only scoring 255,000 viewers - just two per cent of the potential audience.
But Allen, 22, is convinced that moving the show to a central London venue will help boost ratings for the second series, which has just been commissioned by British TV channel Bbc Three.
She tells British magazine New!, "The type of audience that loves me will travel to a club in London but won't travel all that way outside of London to a studio.
"Pinewood also lacks atmosphere because its so cavernous."...

Pop star Lily Allen's Bbc chatshow has come under fire after the star previewed a controversial video clip to viewers - featuring a teacher having his trousers pulled down in front of a class of students.
The Smile star showed the footage on her show Lily Allen And Friends on Tuesday night as part of the programme's 'funny Internet clips' section.
Introducing the video, the singer told the audience, "Now it's my favourite, it's 'kegging' a teacher - pulling someone's trousers down in public when they least expect it. It's very childish, but very funny."
But Allen has come under scrutiny for choosing to show the clip - with Britain's Teacher's Union branding the stunt "completely and utterly irresponsible".
A representative for the Association of Teachers and Lecturers says, "If she doesn't understand the responsibility of what she is doing in the media world, then she should not be allowed to do that."...
