Is it all coming together?

Really hooked on this new show.

Happy that DCI Silva' backstory is getting more clarity.

Interested to see the truth about Port Haven being explored, and understanding the role of MI5 in all this...

And also, excited to know who the killer is finally!

A deep, engrossing continuation.
Sleepin_Dragon3 October 2021
Amy and Kirsten continue to dig away, this third episode feels a little more land based.

The first two episodes were breathless, intense, high octane drama, this wasn't perhaps at the same level of intensity, though it does have its moments. This one relies more so on uncovering events, and putting that pieces together, it doesn't quite have the shocks, but it is excellent.

I like that we're learning more about Amy, she's a well rounded, interesting character.

The acting continues to mesmerise me, I am a fan of hers, but Suranne Jones continues to dazzle, she really is awesome.

I'm not sure, but there are vibes of an old BBC series called Spyship....a boat sinks, Russian involvement is suspected.

Engrossing drama, 8/10.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
Another interesting episode, not as emotionally gripping as the last episode, some interesting new revelations have been revealed. Jones' character is revealed to have absolutely no respect for the dead by continuing to ask questions not only while people are mourning the loss of Burke but while people are still giving speeches in regards to him. Meanwhile Coxswain man is being painted, and is revealed to be very suspect, which we should have seen coming previously, it's always the one you least suspect, but this episode it is possible to guess he's up to something from lingering shots before they actually reveal his tattoo. Overall there are some questionable choices made by the writers in regards to certain story elements that seem completely irrelevant but perhaps they'll be addressed in the end, we shall see.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
With the deaths of Craig Burke and his girlfriend, activist Jade Antoniak. DS Kirsten Longacre believes that there was a conspiracy against these two whistleblowers.

Her investigation takes her to a leading Scottish politician. Later to Rear Admiral Shaw. Then MI5 come on board.

As for Amy Silva. She is now looking for a poisoner. Vigil's doctor would have knowledge of such things.

However Amy does not take the news well that she is now to spend three weeks more on Vigil.

This was another riveting episode. The two separate investigations mean that the viewer knows more than the two police officers. Amy and Kirsten are not always able to communicate with each other regarding their findings.

There were more suspects as Amy and Kirsten uncovered dodgy drug tests and shady deaths in Florida.

It's Amy who realises that in the submarine. No one can be trusted. Maybe that should be tattooed on her.

Great performances once again from Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie.

[6.8] The melodramatic submarine ver.3

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 3: Starting to drag a bit further. What is being shown as development and "thrilling" guiltiness are nothing more than average to good fillers. More than once unrealistic situations. The things that are happening in the sub and the absence of the right people in the right places make it as secure as a kindergarten filled with babies dressed as officers.

Lacks real suspense, is full with memories of the DCI damaged life and that is not good.

Vigil.

Warning: Spoilers
"I'm not prepared for that" she says, boo fn hoo? Got the impression this was in 24/7 operation, all posts manned in shifts, now we're all gathered for a funeral ceremony. Lots of secrets and dilly-dallying around, couldn't care less, abandoning sub.
