- Lois and John Henry can't seem to agree on the best way to stop Morgan Edge; Jonathan encourages Jordan to focus on strengthening his powers to help locate their dad; an old friend is brought in to help with the search.

- At the Metropolis Institute of Technology, John checks wristwatch, doesn't see who he's looking for, and goes back to his RV. The AI asks if he was able to find her, and John figures that she went home already. They go to her residence that night, and the Ai confirms that it's John's attempts to connect with his younger sister. Before John can decide, Lois calls John and tells him that it's happening like he said, and she thinks that Superman has been turned.
In Morgan's Fortress, Superman leans against a pillar and moans in pain. Morgan comes up and figures that it's a long time Superman has felt pain, and says that pain is his weakness his father removed from him. Morgan tells Superman that all he has to do is submit and the pain will go away. When Superman says that he can help Morgan, Morgan says that Superman rejected his people and his family, and he's no longer Morgan's brother. Morgan walks away and says that eventually Superman will yield.
At the Kent farm, Lois tells her sons that their father will be okay. She says that their father has been in worse spots, and she's learned from 20 years of experience that Clark will eventually win. Lois advises them to get some sleep. After they go to their rooms, Sam drives up and Lois goes out to greet her father. Sam tells her that DoD satellites are scanning across the globe for Superman and haven't found him. She asks Lois where Superman's Fortress is. Lois says that Superman and Morgan might be at Morgan's Fortress and it's in the desert. Sam calls in to adjust the DoD search pattern and then comforts Lois.
The next morning at the Cushing house, Kyle tells Lana that he has to check in with the military with the other Kryptonian hosts. Sarah is there and suggests that he take a day off, but her father says that he has to get back into his routine, see his team, and get back to normal. The doorbell rings and Kyle answers it. It's his second-in-command Tamera Dalley, and she tells Kyle that there's some concern among the other firefighters about Kyle apparently working with Morgan. Kyle insists that he was trying to improve Smallville. Despite that, Tamara tells him to take a few days off and give people a chance to cool off.
At the farm, Jordan sits outside and stares off into space. Jonathan joins him Jordan has been listening in on the soldiers with his new super-hearing, and tells Jonathan that they haven't found Clark. Jonathan suggests that Jordan use his hearing to find Clark. Jordan warns that Superman could only do it after years of training, and his brother says that Jordan can do it if he belie4ves they can.
As the brother go to find a private spot for Jordan to concentrate, John arrives in his RV. He meets with Sam and Lois, and confirms that Morgan was last seen at the farm. Lois explains that Superman sacrificed himself to save his family, but Superman signaled her to find John and help them stop Morgan. Sam has confirmed Morgan's Fortress location, and Lois says that they need John's help to save Superman. John tells her that the only way to save the world is to put Superman down... permanently.
Lois tells John that they're not killing Superman, but John says that Superman knows what he's up against it. Sam points out that it would be a tactical to not rescue their greatest weapon against Morgan. John disagrees and says that it took Dark Superman seven minutes to wipe out Metropolis. He says that Superman will turn eventually, and Lois says that she'll prove it. When Sam starts to argue with her, she tells him to pinpoint Morgan's Fortress. Once they're alone, Sam tells John that he's rounding up every anti-Superman weapon that his team have developed to use when time comes. John says that he may have more effective means and Sam expresses his interest.
Jordan tells Jonathan that he can't find Superman with his hearing. When he says that it won't work, Jonathan tells him try again and Jordan is the only who can find Clark. Jordan wonders if he's not good enough, and says that even though he was the only one with powers, he couldn't stop Morgan. Jonathan tells his brother that he can do something now to stop Morgan.
In the RV, John shows Sam his anti-Superman weaponry and John explains that on his Earth, he tried to lure Dark Superman into space. Before he could tell if his red sun weapon would work, he was swept into the new Earth. John says that as long as Sam produces him another similar weapon, he'll take care of the rest.
In Smallville, the Cushings drive to downtown where the military are checking the formerly possessed. The Phans come out, and Duc tells Kyle that the destruction was his fault, and their fault for trusting Kyle. Emily says that what they said she did to Lois and Clark's son, and it's Lana's fault because she trusted her. Lois comes by and overhears the conversation. After the Phans walk away, Lois tells them that she'll make sure everyone knows they're not to blame and asks to talk to them privately.
Lois and the Cushings go into the Gazette, and Lois asks them if they had any memory of when they were taken over. Kyle says that it was like losing himself, and he couldn't picture his family. He was able to fight back, but there was an overwhelming sense that his family would be better if he let go... and he almost did. Lois thanks them both.
In the Fortress, Superman tries to fight Zeta-Rho's influence by remembering his family. He flies out to the desert and calls to Jordan, who hears his father with his hearing. AS Superman says that he's in the Badlands, Morgan grabs Superman. Realizing that Jordan is hearing him, Morgan says that if they send anyone for Superman, he won't be the man they know. Jordan tells Jonathan that they need to go.
Lois finds Diggle in town and recognizes him. They hug echo other, and Diggle tells Lois that Sm asked Lyla for some tech and he delivered it. Lois finds Sam and John going over the ARGUS tech, and John says that he can make it worse. When Lois comes in and angrily tells her father that he said he was on his side, Sam insists that it's just a precaution. Diggle figures that Sam didn't tell ARGUS the truth because he knew Lyla would say no.
John says that ARGUS is only providing the ammo for his gun, and Sam explains that John is preparing a fallback position for them in case they run out of time. Lois says that she confirmed it's possible that someone can fight back against the eradication. Jordan and Jonathan come in and tell Lois that they have to talk.
The Cushing return home and find someone has spray-painted "Get out of Smallville" on the outside wall. Lana assures Sarah that they're not going anywhere, and Kyle says that all they did was try to help, and someone had to do it. He says that they can't go into town without being harassed, and he can't keep his family safe. Lana says that the only thing she cares about is their family, and they'll get through it as a family. After a minute, Kyle agrees and goes to get some paint.
Jordan tells Lois and Sam what Superman said, and Sam figures they can figure out specifically where in the Badland's Morgan's Fortress is. Jonathan reluctantly tells Sam what Morgan said. Sam asks the boys to give him and Lois a minute alone. Once they leave, Sam says that he doesn't have a team capable of taking on multiple Kryptonians. When they locate them, he's sending John in.
Lois goes into the military command tent and asks John if she can talk to him. John steps out with her and Lois tells him that their world and Superman is different, and she's going to answer his question of how he knows. Lois says that she knows Superman loves humanity is that he is the love of his life and the father of her sons. She admits that Superman is her husband.
John is surprised that Clark Kent is Superman, and Lois tells him that her sons didn't learn until the year and it's part of why the moved to Smallville. She says that her Superman is different because he has someone to fight for. John tells her that it doesn't matter. He says that Superman wanted her to call him because he knew what John would do. Lois says that it was a worst-case scenario, and she needs John to believe that there's still hope. John tells her that she called the wrong guy, but says that she's right about one thing: he won't hesitate. He describes how he saw Lois and Natalie die on his world along with millions of people, and now he'll do the right thing.
Lois insists that killing Superman isn't the right thing, and begs John not to kill Superman. John says that he's sorry and walks away.
In the command tent, Diggle says that Superman is the best they have. Sam tells him that it isn't an easy decision to make, and Diggle tells him that not killing an ally should be an easy decision. John comes back in, and Diggle tells him that he can't imagine what Dark Superman did to John's world. He says that the world will be praying that John makes the right call, and leaves.
Lana and Sarah are trying to clean the point off of their house, and Kyle comes out and offer to help. Her goes to work with some paint thinner, and Sarah "accidentally" sprays him with the water hose she's holding. John jokingly throws water-filled sponge at him and Sarah sprays them with the hose. They hug and laugh.
Jordan and Jonathan find Lois at the Gazette, and Jordan asks his mother if they're too late. She says that she doesn't know.
Superman collapses in the Fortress, and Morgan tells him that no one can fight forever. The hologram of Zeta-Ro appears, and Superman stands to face them, totally eradicated and taken over by General Zod. Zeta-Ro says that now they can do what they came there to do.
Sam's man locate the Fortress, and John goes to attack Superman. As John leaves, Jonathan confronts him and says that he saw the videos of the other world in the RV. He tells John that the man he's about to kill is a good dad, just like John was with Natalie. When John says that he wishes there was another way, Jonathan tells him that there's always another way.
The armored John flies to the Fortress. Superman flies down in front of him, and slams into John. Lois and Sam watch from the command tent, and a tech confirms that Steel is in orbit. Superman slams John down to the desert, and John tells Sam over the comms that Superman has been turned.
Zod/Superman tells John that none of them can stop what's coming. He beats on John, and Sam tells John to use the solar missile they've prepped. Lois tells Sam that the missile is only good for one shot, and if they use it against Superman than they have nothing to use against Morgan.
John uses one of his weapons on Zod/Superman, knocks him back. The two of them fly at each other, and Zod/Superman slams John to the ground and tries to rip off his helmet. Lois gets on the comms and tells John that he can't beat Zod/Superman, and he has to make Superman remember who he is. Zod/Superman hesitates, and John hits him with his hammer repeatedly. John prepares to fire his missile, and Lois begs him to stop. Sam says that John has no choice.
Superman tells John to do it, and he's can stop. Lois tells John that he has to get through to Superman, and John deactivates the missile launchers, shuts down the comms, and tells Superman that he knows what it means to lose the people he loves. He tells Superman not to let Zod take him away from his family, and to fight back.
Superman draws on his memories of his family, screams in defiance, and collapses. He recovers and John helps him up, then activates his comms and tells the others that Superman is back. Superman tells Lois that he'll be back soon, but first he and John will deal with Morgan.
Morgan overhears and tells Zeta that Zod is gone for good. Zeta tells him that it's time, and Morgan veered from his mission because he's weak. Zeta tells Morgan to complete his mission or know that he's the only reason that Krypton was lost. Morgan says goodbye to his father and smashes through the wall holding the Eradicator.
Superman and John fly after Morgan, and Morgan flies over the Earth and powers the Eradicator with his heat vision. John fires his solar missile at Morgan, and Morgan crashes to the earth below. Superman flies down, and the weakened Morgan says that Superman could have ruled with him as his brother but now he'll bury him in the ashes of the world. Superman punches him unconscious, and nods to John as the latter flies down.
At the farm, Lois, Jordan, and Jonathan wait for Clark to return. Lois assures her sons that their father will be there. Superman flies down, and he and Lois kiss while Jordan and Jonathan look on, smiling. Superman hugs his sons and tells them that they did good, and Superman says that he broke free by remembering them... and he had a little bit of help.
John flies down and Superman says that he's on their side. Lois invites John to supper, but he says that he has to wrap things up with Sam and tells them that family time is sacred. After saying that Morgan is locked up in a maximum-security prison, John flies off and the Kents share a group hug.
At the Cushing house, Sophie arrives and Kyle makes dinosaur pancakes for dinner. Sophie asks Sarah if anything happened when she was gone, and Sarah says that it was boring. Lana asks Kyle if he knows they're going to be okay, and Kyle tells his wife that he's sure of it
Sam meets with Clark and Lois, and tells them that Leslie escaped. Finding her is the DoD's #1 priority. Then the DoD will leave Smallville, and Sam tells Lois that he's proud of her. She still had faith and that's what made the difference. Sam tells Clark that he won't doubt him again and leaves.
Morgan sits in his kryptonite-lined cell, and remembers Zeta telling him to remember what he was sent there for.
