Last year, Angel Studios opened a booth at CinemaCon in Last Vegas to launch its distribution arm. That paid off handsomely after “Sound of Freedom” exploded to a $250 million worldwide gross. This year, they took to a much bigger stage for a Caesar’s Palace breakfast presentation and announced its intention to stun the industry again.
The Angel headliner was “David,” an animated musical based on the Biblical story of David vs. Goliath. Or, as the studio’s chief marketing officer Alex Nielsen told the audience: “We intend to release the most successful animated film of all time.”
Angel dated “David” for Thanksgiving weekend 2025, but it presented a full trailer and a full song to a packed, standing-room only house inside the Palace Ballroom. The trailer also touted that former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is an executive producer on the project.

As we head towards the weekend, let’s take a look at everything new that’s coming to the various major streaming services over the next few days. With the enormous hauls of December 1st just around the corner, there isn’t a ton to dig into, but there are almost 30 fresh titles arriving across Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Hulu and Prime Video, which should keep you going until Monday.
First up, Netflix dropped eight movies and TV shows today, mostly originals. In particular, a bunch of international content debuted, such as Spanish horror Don’t Listen and Italian crime drama The Beast. Not to mention German festive comedy Over Christmas, which arrives along with a selection of other holiday-themed titles, like children’s special A Go! Go! Cory Carson Christmas and cooking contest Sugar Rush Christmas.

The final week of November is upon us, meaning December is just around the corner. Netflix has a bunch of great new titles to come over the next seven days, then, including numerous original movies and TV series. And yes, there are a few early festive treats counted among them.
First of all, Monday the 23rd brings Bruce Willis’ latest actioner, Hard Kill, along with Shawn Mendes film In Wonder and the first season of Strongest Delivery Man. Moving on to Tuesday, we have one of the week’s biggest releases – drama Hillbilly Elegy, starring Glenn Close and Amy Adams, as directed by Ron Howard.
