Great Song Selections.
jerekra19 February 2009
Guitar Hero World Tour is a great addition to the guitar hero franchise. The game play is the same as the other ones so I do not have to explain how the game works. I will state that I love some of the songs that are included in this game. I love Bon Jovi so I was thrilled that they decided to use one of their songs, "Livin On A Prayer", in this game. Bon Jovi was over due to be put into Guitar Hero and I hope that they have more Bon Jovi songs included in future Guitar Hero games. Also they have "Eye Of The Tiger" which also is great since I loved Rocky 3. Recommended and this is the best Guitar Hero I have played so far.

I hated it
NexusHUB2 April 2009
I just thought this was a disgrace. The song selection was decent, and being able to make your own songs is cool, but they still ruined it. Let's talk about the full pack. The drum set is awful. It double hits, which is a REAL pain while trying to create a song, it limits you to just two cymbals, and just three pads, which makes drum rolls and cymbal changing awkward, and the bass pedal is disconnected. While I'm using it, it slides away from me, so I have to pause and pull it back, which makes gameplay videos impossible. The guitar is also bad. The slider is badly done, and pointless. And the D-Pad is simply stupid. It's a circle, so it is near impossible to hit the arrow the you want. Let's talk about game-only, now. First of all, it does not chart every drum thing you do, which I just didn't understand, and speaking of drums, what is up with them? Adding that orange note was a HUGE mistake, because it makes saving money, buying it game-only and using a Rock Band drumset, so hard. Making a song is impossible without a decent cymbal, so that's out of the question; and Everlong is just awkward on drums, either way, but more awkward with Rock Band drums. Vocals, are also messed up, why do I need to get the right pitch for talking and screaming? Besides, vocals were just unnecessarily hard anyway. Now, the song selection is good, but gets boring fast, because of the large limit to songs. And it doesn't list them by difficulty, nor do you have the option to do so, so it makes trying out new songs, or being new to the game, very difficult. Also, the presentation, and the Rock meter was MUCH better done in GH3, and the rock meter and multiplyer were more noticeable, in all other Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, with this tiny one and the HORRIBLE graphics and presentation, you almost never know when you've missed a note. And I'd like my note streak to be a bit more presented like in GH3, please?

The game as any game is okay...The game as a music game...0/10...
korisnika-123 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The only reason this game gets a 3/10 is because of the song selection...Now,for the game play...In the PC version,if you weren't not used to the Guitar Hero 3™,and Aerosmith™®© controls you could have changed them....Now,you can't...The controls (specially on the keyboard and the drums) response is just awful..The guitars can pass, and the Mic can barely pass...Controls on the keyboard are awful, and the game feels too much like Rock Band...If you don't want to spend 100 + $ on disappointment and nerve stretching, don't get this game...The game feels more like Sims™...

Hope I helped for the future of consumers...:)

Vary Mediocre
cstude-648161 February 2024
Let's talk about the positives, I like the songs that I Know Like Livin on a prayer, Hotel California, Hot For Teacher, About A Girl, Eye Of Tiger etc. That they put in this game. But the thing is there is too much songs in this game and songs that they put in this game most of them we never heard of the music artist and their songs and pretty much all of them are songs from the mid 2000s which I hate. Another positive I like in the game is the controls and the gaming mechanics It runs so smoothly and I liked for that. That about all for the positives.

Now Negatives, I Hate That they put Hot For Teacher Van Halen nearly the last song in the game on career. And I Love that song Probably one of Van Halen's best songs And they put in nearly the last song in the game... Sad. Another is the there way too much songs in each set list on career they give like 6, or 7 songs in each setlist and is beyond ridiculous, it's absurd can't they see I'm trying to get to Hot For Teacher on this game and they put in almost the last song in the game. And to they Lie they say how much is on the setlist on career. Like it's saids oh, there 4 song in this setlist but it really is not. It's really 6, or 7 bunch of lying lairs. And Lastly is they put way too many loading screens in this game and again it's ridiculous, and some of it takes forever.

I Don't Know, I find this game I wouldn't say awful, but vary Mediocre. If you really want to play a awesome Guitar Hero Game I recommend the Guitar Hero 1st one, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero III legends Of Rock and Guitar Hero Aerosmith

Thats all I have to say.
