George Michael asks Stone to file a suit on behalf of a student that had been expelled for playing one of his songs at her school. While a third party could pay the legal fees, they would have no legal standing to file a suit. When later talking to Jordan, Stone correctly identifies the client as the girl. However, when Stone, Michael, and Jordan meet with the girl, the lawsuit is news to her, so Stone was making an assumption when he talked to Jordan. He also assumed her parent or guardian would go along since she was not an adult.
The lawsuit against the school is framed as involving free speech. The fact is the girl committed several violations- to include trespassing in the office, unauthorized use of the PA system, and a breach of the peace. The latter point was brought out when Stone quoted the school's student conduct manual.
While in the meeting, Jordan Wethersby says "this is my could care less face". The correct saying is "couldn't care less".
