The official YouTube channel for Netflix Anime has started streaming a main trailer for the season 1 of the upcoming anime Rising Impact. The clip features the anime's theme song "gifted" performed by four-piece Japanese rock band Blue Encount . Blue Encount was formed in 2004, and has provided theme songs for Gintama , Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans , My Hero Academia , and Mix Meisei Story . The band's vocalist/guitarist Shunichi Tanabe says, "Rising Impact unleashed after 25 years. The great honor of singing the theme song, we were able to take on the challenge with as much passion as Gawain's straightforwardness. In this day and age when we ask ourselves daily about our 'individuality,' what kind of 'gift=talent' do we as human beings have? With 'gifted,' I feel we were able to write our own answer. I hope this song will be food for your soul." Blue Encount profile photo...

Reflecting on her career, Lena Waithe says, “I think about legacy a lot.” The writer-producer-actor, whose body of work includes creating Showtime drama The Chi and BET’s Twenties, has been on a steady upward trajectory since winning a primetime Emmy Award in 2017 for outstanding writing on Netflix’s Master of None. But for Waithe, success raised questions about where she was headed. “I didn’t know what I was actually trying to build. I wanted to have real agency over my career, but it was also not just about me, it’s about who I can work with.”
Together with Rishi Rajani, a studio exec who honed his skills at 20th Century Fox, UTA, Paradigm, and Studio 8, Waithe has created a multi-platform entertainment company that accomplishes both. At Hillman Grad Productions, Waithe and Rishi develop projects that often go against the industry grain, while also hiring up-and-coming talent...

Stunlock Studios’ V Rising is more than just a tale about vampires coming back to their glory. Between the bloodlust and supernatural adventures, there’s an open world here that assumes a lot and asks for even more. Fans of massively multiplayer online games are going to celebrate this one, while newcomers are going to feel a bit lost.
Yet, V Rising does everything in its (supernatural) power to make sure that players feel powerful from the get-go. The story’s pacing takes its time, the crafting feels familiar and the combat evolves into an addictive rhythm. However, an all-too-familiar gameplay loop that requires a lot of grinding may keep this game from reaching a wider audience.
Take Back What’s Yours…In Due Time
The beginning of V Rising is a promising venture into the realm of vampires. Something unjustifiable happened, and players now get to live the life...

Kohei Horikoshi’s Original Planned Ending for My Hero Academia is Anime’s Version of Game of Thrones
As Kohei Horikoshi’s uber-popular Shōnen series, My Hero Academia, slowly inches toward a conclusion, fans hold their breath in anticipation of what’s to come. What could be intriguing for fans to know is that the manga artist is reportedly planning an “even better” finale, given that elements of his originally envisioned ending have been offered to us already.
Before you resort to ‘how’ or ‘where,’ we must jog your memory with respect to the second film in the franchise, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. Spoiler warning before we proceed!

In the animated superhero film, Deku and Bakugo, along with the other U.A. students, stumble upon formidable adversaries at the remote Nabu Island. It’s a cool premise that crescendos into a memorable finale that couldn’t be more heartbreaking.

Oof, "Madame Web." Critics have savaged the latest Spider-Manless Spider-Man spin-off from Sony Pictures (read /Film's review here). Unlike the Sydney Sweeney picture I'm actually looking forward to this year, "Madame Web" is not "Immaculate." It's a hackneyed joke that in bad movies of this sort, the best part is when the credits hit. In "Madame Web," that's doubly true because you'll get to hear some nice music: "Dreams" by The Cranberries.
Released in 1992, "Dreams" is the Irish band's debut single, part of their first album "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" Dolores O'Riordan, The Cranberries' late singer, and guitarist Noal Hogan wrote the song about the experience of love. O'Riordan's whimsical brogue becomes a melody played against the soft rock instrumentals from her bandmates. It's not just a great love song, but a song about how it feels to be in love: the floating excitement, how...

Weyes Blood has revealed “Titanic Risen,” an outtake from 2019’s Titanic Rising, through the game Roblox.
Natalie Mering has cited the ill-fated maiden voyage of the 1912 White Star Line Ship as one of the album’s themes, and now fans can hear “Titanic Risen” while playing Roblox Titanic. Players find themselves on board a stimulation of the ship, donning life jackets and roaming about the lobby. Crewman Frederick Fleet’s famous words can be heard — “Iceberg, right ahead!” — as lifeboats launch and the ship sinks, eventually splitting in half.
