So Magnum & Higgins take on opposing parties in the same divorce case. If this show had any sense of reality, Magnum would lose his Private Investigation license. Higgins has no PI license, so what she is doing is totally illegal anyway. Every week, the New Magnum finds more and more ways to engage in criminal activity. The writers apparently think that Hawaii is a totally corrupt State, without any enforcement of any laws.
The husband and wife are totally unbelievable. The wife is played by Azita Ghanizada, and she is clearly reading her lines in some scenes. Really bad acting. She is 40 years old, but looks 45. Her husband is played by Daniel Bonjour, who is 38 and looks 30. They really act like strangers to each other. They are not convincing as a couple in love.
Into all this mess is Rick (Zachary Knighton), who finds a dead guy in his bar on the following day. He makes it his quest to find out the life story of the dead guy, and to contact his only daughter. What a totally ridiculous story. After she tells Rick she had no relationship with her Dad, and has no interest in getting involved with any funeral plans, Rick comes back to pester her more. It would have been nice if this lady put a couple of rounds into Rick, thinking he was a stalker. Write off one bad actor. Re-boot the show. Make it Magnum Katsumoto and Katsumoto can become the security guard for Robin Masters.
