A mixture of melodrama and comedy, written by Shannon Fife and produced by John Ince, who plays the leading role. This release is in two parts and is padded to the limit, evidently. It has been well produced, photographed and the acting is fully adequate. There is a great deal in the construction of the scenario that seems ridiculous; however, it is not devoid of interest. - The Moving Picture World, November 7, 1914
