It's Now Coming Together!
g-bodyl7 November 2014
This is the ninth episode of the third season of Dexter and after a relatively slow beginning to the season, everything is starting to come together. The pace is picked up and if anything, we learn more secrets. Especially those surrounding Miguel Prado, played fantastically by Jimmy Smits. This is more of an action-packed episode and judging from what I have seen, everything is more at stake.

In this episode, "About Last Night," Dexter finds out that Miguel killed on his own, the defense attorney Ellen Wolf which makes Dexter angry. Dexter decides to teach Miguel a lesson, but that comes up short once he realizes the true intentions of Miguel Prado. Meanwhile, Anton has been kidnapped by the Skinner and both Debra and Quinn begin to close on his location.

Overall, this is a fantastic episode with not a dull moment to be found. The ending is brilliant as we see the true emotions of Dexter and Miguel will realize that he has chosen the wrong guy to mess with. I cannot wait to see how all this will play out. I rate this episode 9/10.

Dexter series 3 Blossoms
redeyenight24 November 2008
what seemed to be a slow series 3 has now come together to make another amazing series, different to the previous 2 but not at all dull as I've read in some comments on the web. This is by far the best writing and acting for a series and gives any film based on this genre a real lesson in screen writing. I wasn't sure where the relationship with Miguel Prado was going but it held reason for being there, I just wasn't sure why. The skinner was a very good distraction from the real monster of series 3. MC Hall sure now's a good series when he reads one! I hope there will be another series on the cards. Will Dexter become boring after 3 series? I don't think so, but I'm sure its worth finding out....

Feeling Something Real

Warning: Spoilers
Sylvia meets Rita and believes he is having an affair since he has not spent the night at home. When Dexter learns that Ellen Wolf is missing in the morning and Miguel went missing in the night, he connects the dots and finds her body in a open grave in the cemetery. Further, he finds that Miguel has lied to him from the beginning of their relationship and used him. Dexter lets the police find Ellen's body to have leverage with Miguel. Debra calls Anton along the day and she finally finds that her lover has been abducted by the Skinner. Debra and Quinn arrest George King but they are incapable to break him and Miguel tells that they do not have a case against King. However, they lure Mario Astorga and find the Skinner's hideout with the wounded Anton.

In this episode, Dexter admits that he should have followed Harry's code and he believes that Miguel has learned his lesson. The scheme plotted by Debra and Quinn works and they rescue Anton from the sadistic Skinner. My vote is nine.

This episode begins with Dexter, he makes lunch for the kids and prepares himself for work. Anton is gone, he has been ubducted by The Skinner. Anton has been ubducted by George King, but is he The Skinner? King skinned a part of Anton's back. Debra and Quinn interview George King. Dexter discovered that Miguel attacked Ellen Wolf, or even worse. Debra attacked King, Quinn caught her. Dexter found Ellen's body at the graveyard, Miguel killed her. Ellen Wolf her body has been found. Dexter shows where he is capable of, Dexter earned back the power he had. Dexter remembers something about a shirt that he got from Miguel, with Freebo's blood on it. George King leaves the station. Mario told Debra where Anton is. Debra and Quinn saved Anton. Dexter has been used by Miguel for the entire time, the blood is from a cow and not from Freebo. Nice episode of Dexter Season 3, Miguel used Dexter. Will Dexter find a plan to take down Miguel?

1. Miguel kills Ellen 2. Anton is safe 3. Dexter is pissed

Decent episode, more development than previous episodes. We expected Miguel to be a loose cannon but wow this is a fast development. Dexter realizes that he's been a tool to satisfy Miguel's own twisted needs and is furious. I'm worried for him because one way or another Dexter is probably going to kill Miguel which means... that he had had to kill everyone in every season who got close to him, which might further push him into isolation.

Miguel the Liar [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 3 Episode 9 ''About Last Night'' (S3. E9): Episode 8 was awesome and I gave it a rating of 8.8/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Miguel's wife thinks that he is sleeping with another woman, if she only knew haha. I knew this tree trimmer guy was suspicious from the start. Did Miguel really kill Ellen? What did he do with the body? So Miguel doesn't even care about the code, he killed Ellen, that sucks. Miguel needs to follow the code or it will be pure chaos. Killing the innocent is against the code and Dex could never accept what Miguel did, I hope Miguel learned the lesson. Dex realized that Miguel is a liar? When did he start lying? What's going on? Miguel has to be a pathological liar. He got exposed and its time for him to become Dex's new victim. Overall a great episode, my rating is 9/10.

Pure Stupidity!
skay_baltimore4 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
The police have a guy in their building. He's a suspect in a string of heinous crimes. And he simply walks out of the building, straight to where he's holding a hostage, AND NO ONE FOLLOWS/TAILS HIM?!! Are you kidding me?!! I hate to keep harping on things like this, but this is EXACTLY why this show fails! Is the target audience of Dexter REALLY that STUPID?!! Better yet. Are the WRITERS that SUPID?!! Or that LAZY?!! As much as I want to like the more interesting aspects of this show, STUPID things like this keep ruining it. Lazy writing, resulting in gaps of logic too big to bridge, melodrama masquerading as drama, one dimensional/stereotypical characters/caricatures, and worn out arc ploys keep undermining this show at every turn.
