Sharon decides to get 'scientific' about getting herself a prospective husband and starts reading a book entitled "How to Achieve Meaningful Relationships" that she borrowed from Naima. She starts interviewing prospects - using quizzes from the book. She suggests to her parents Den and Angie, that they take a break from the Vic and have a holiday together. Den is more concerned about two bottles of brandy going missing, but Angie takes matters into her own hands and organises a holiday in Ibetha.
Michelle is under pressure to think about her future after her baby is born.
Ali gets an idea of how to get more jobs in his mini-cab that is not quite ethical and leads to him copping a black eye for his troubles. Sue is not sympathetic.
Tony and his family are settling into his two room flat and although he and Hannah have a lot to sort out, she starts to fall for her husbands charms again.
Ian and Kelvin's competition for Mary's affections heat up.
Much to Andy's disgust, Rod dobs himself and Andy in to do up Andy and Debbie's flat. Although they live as flatmates nowadays, Andy manages to steal a kiss from Debbie in the process, but is interrupted by a visit from an oblivious Naima. Andy cries on Angie's shoulder after a few too many at the Vic.
The episode ends with Ian and Kelvin coming to blows in the Cafe.
