Good Idea Wasted in a Disappointing Show

Warning: Spoilers
While traveling through Oregon, the computer programmer Clark Willingham (Steven Weber) and his wife Mary (Kim Delaney) almost have a car accident. Clark decides to take a secondary road under the protest of Mary. She tries to convince Clark to return but, out of the blue, they see a sign that says "Welcome to Rock and Roll Heaven" and a beautiful road. Clark drives through the road and arrive in the town. Mary feels uncomfortable but Clark forces her to go to a diner to drink a coke. One waitress leaves a napkin on the counter advising them to get out while they still can. Meanwhile, Clark talks to another waitress that resembles Janis Joplin. Then the cook, who looks like Ricky Nelson, arrives and when Clark leaves the diner, Mary stumbles with two guys that resemble Roy Orbinson and Buddy Hole. Sooner they discover that they are surrounded by deceased musicians and singers that want them to stay for their concert, and they find that they can never leave the place.

"You Know They Got a Hell of a Band" is a good idea of a town with dead musician and singers but wasted in a disappointing show. When Clark and Mary almost have a car crash onto a truck, I believed that they had died and the whole story would make sense. However, the idea of Janis Joplin vomiting maggots is of a terrible bad taste and offensive to the image of this awesome singer. My vote is three.
