This could turn out to be a tear-jerker for you.

Warning: Spoilers
I agree with what the reviewer who gave this episode a 10/10 had to say. I have only seen two other episodes from the 1st series, and maybe 9 is a little high, but I thought, being a 65-year-old male, that it was quite emotional in a soft-hearted way. For a TV14 rated series, this episode was quite mild. There was no blood, none of that rotten language that some kids' parents might not want them to hear. There were plenty of tense moments, but about half way through the episode there comes a point where we see why person was driven to the point where the action starts. I think this episode is better when one doesn't know any of the details beforehand. I'm not talking about spoilers. Just let yourself be entertained. If you have loved ones, like a husband or wife, maybe an uncle past middle age, you may find this episode tugs at your heartstrings.

This was a great episode! Makes you really think about what any of us might do when our world is crumbling. Not saying we all would do what George did, or that it's ok. But as the saying goes "There but for the grace of God, go I". Flashpoint is a great show, I love that they aren't afraid to show what Law Enforcement goes through in terms of PTSD. I wish it was still on the air

I repeat the title...

Who's George? I recognize him from another Canadian crime drama that used to run late night weekends around here, but I don't see a cast credit for George. As I recall, he was a coroner in the other series, maybe a detective.

Recognizing him was when it finally dawned on me that this was a Canadian show. I then noticed the constables' hats, which are clearly Canadian, and then it all clicked into place for me.

And while I'm at it, I'm glad to see some Canadian shows making it here in the States. The Canadian approach gives stuff a different twist we don't normally get.

An emotional roller-coaster

This was by far one of the better episodes of the series. All suspects in the show have believable stories that push them to their situation, and this episode was one of the best I have seen.

A man robs a bank and takes hostages. Sounds simple, until you watch this one, this episode takes you on good twists, and goes beyond the usual cop drama, and does not vilainize the bad guys in the show but gives them a life that could end up this way, and most of the time, they are regular people who are in extraordinary circumstances, and isn't that how it is most of the time in real life, maybe, or maybe not, but it is more believable than just thinking the bad guys have always been bad guys. this show delivered a great script, suspense, and action all in proper amounts.

Anyways I don't want to give it away for those who haven't seen it but it is easily the best new show this year.
