Mark Evans kicks off his new project - transforming a battered 1974 chrome-bumpered MGB Roadster from a neglected rust-bucket into a pristine classic car.
Mark continues work on his Roadster as he strips down the engine, battles with the body-work and takes a trip to the Heritage factory where new MGB body shells are being built.
The rusty bodywork's out so now it's time to get technical as Mark replaces the three-part sill structure, strips and refurbishes the rear axle, and dismantles the differential.
Work on the MGB Roadster is taking shape. The body's back from the bead blasters, and Mark visits the specialist engineering company refurbishing the over-drive unit.
Mark's restoration of the MGB is moving along nicely. He's had to fix structural damage to the car's body and now the team carries on building up the block, crank and pistons.
The MGB's part-painted body shell is back. Mark's turning it into a rolling chassis, putting in all the parts possible at this stage. The rear axle and new overdrive are fitted.
Work on the MGB Roadster slows to a stop as Mark struggles to fit the handbrake. Meanwhile, the team has problems building the upgraded heater from scratch.
As the MGB rolls closer to completion, Mark strips down the seats, door panels and centre console and takes the bare bones to the seat specialists for recovering in red leather.
Mark's seriously behind schedule, and with the MGB's lights and the boot, bonnet and badges still needing to be fitted, it's a frantic sprint for the finish.
