AI continues to expand with new methods of content creation, leading to the loss of many jobs and causing hardship for artists. The idea of this kind of technology being available is very scary. An old, fictitious PlayStation 9 trailer depicted the console’s features as bunkers at the time.
However, considering the emergence of new technologies such as Elon Musk’s Neuralink, which can literally implant chips into your brain, this trailer may not have been entirely inaccurate. Lucky for you, this is far from happening; at least 20 years have to pass for this kind of advancement.
Sony Wants the PlayStation to Embrace New Forms of Entertainment A PlayStation 6 could be coming sometime in 2028.

“I’m Nevenka,” a Movistar Plus+ original film and the awaited next feature from Spain’s Iciar Bollaín, has closed its earliest pre-sales, struck by Film Factory Entertainment, including a bellwether deal in France.
The deals come as “I’m Nevenka” has wrapped production, shooting in the Basque city of Bilbao before transferring to rural Zamora, western Spain.
Daniel Chabannes’ Epicentre Films, a classic 30-year-old distributor and producer of non-English language art pics, especially from Europe and Latin America, whose recent acquisitions take in San Sebastian Gold Shell winner “The Rye Horn” and Amos Gitai’s “It’s Not Over,” has acquired French rights.
A distributor of both big Cannes winners – “Triangle of Sadness,” “Rosetta,” “The Child” – and slightly more out-there propositions, such as Pablo Berger’s silent movie “Blancanieves,” Xenix Film Distribution has clinched rights to Switzerland.

After Blue (Bertrand Mandico)
In the post-apocalyptic nightmare of After Blue, humanity—or what’s left of it—roams a former paradise turned wasteland. The Armageddon that wrecked the Earth in some undetermined past left no machines behind, no screens, and, perhaps most conspicuously, no men. In the distant planet the human race fled to, and which writer-director Bertrand Mandico’s film is named after, “they were the first to die,” we’re warned early on: “their hairs grew inside them, and killed them.” As it was for its predecessor, The Wild Boys, After Blue is suffused in a feverish ecstasy, that wild excitement that comes from a watching one world crumble and another jutting into being from scratch, a vision of...

Elisabeth Moss is going to be a mom.
The Emmy winning star of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale confirmed paparazzi-fueled speculation during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday by revealing that she is, in fact, expecting a child. The 41-year-old actress appeared visibly pregnant as she walked out from the side of the stage to take a seat next to Kimmel, who cut right to the chase. “Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?” Kimmel asked, to which she replied, “A little bit of both.”
The baby talk proved to be relatively brief as Moss said that she’s “really lucky” and that her pregnancy thus far has “been going really well.” She did not name the baby’s father but did ask Kimmel for advice. The beloved host, father to four children, recalled some words of wisdom he received from Bill Murray.

Hovvdy are back, and have announced a new self-titled double album and a string of 2024 UK/Europe tour dates. The band also shared the album’s latest single, “Forever.”
Due out April 26th via Arts & Crafts, Hovvdy will be the Austin, Texas indie duo’s fifth full-length studio album, following 2021’s True Love. Spanning 19 tracks, the new album was co-produced by Hovvdy’s Charlie Martin and Will Taylor, along with Andrew Sarlo and Bennett Littlejohn.
Speaking about Hovvdy, Martin cited themes of family and empathy as influential factors. “It’s a full circle, because lots of my songs, in adulthood, deal with looking back and seeing your parents as just individuals struggling through life — and trying to have more empathy or understanding,” he said in a statement. “And now Will is diving in from the opposite side as a new parent, grappling with all that.”

Early into Pham Thien An’s sprawling, stupefying Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, there’s a shot that manifests Caravaggio inside a shack in rural Vietnam. Having traveled from Saigon to his home village to attend the funeral of his sister-in-law, Thien (Le Phong Vu) is visiting a local elder who sowed a shroud for the departed. The twenty-something wants to pay for the service; the old man doesn’t take money from neighbors. He does accept the company, though, and very generously spills a whole cascade of memories from the Vietnam War, laying bare an old bullet scar on his ribcage. And as Thien bends to graze the bruised skin under the warm, caliginous light, Pham frames the moment as one of reverential awe, an image modeled off of Caravaggio’s “The Incredulity of Saint Thomas.” It’s a beautiful shot in a film full of them. That it...

At the heart of Pham Tien An’s sprawling feature debut, Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, is a protagonist so unmoored from his surroundings that he looks forever on the cusp of floating away at the slightest breeze. Thien (Le Phong Vu) first appears sitting in an outdoor café in Saigon with a few friends, a local pickup game of soccer playing out to his right and the patrons behind him cheering on a televised professional match in between bites of food. Ignoring the hubbub around him, Thien asks his friends about matters of faith but looks uninterested in his own topic, zoning out as others talk about their religious beliefs.
Thien is so alienated from his environment that when a motorcycle crashes next to the café, he’s one of the few people in the vicinity who doesn’t react, remaining seated as others head over to survey the damage.
