As we head into the weekend before Halloween, the various major streaming services are offering up a load of great new content to keep you occupied. To be honest, this weekend’s haul isn’t one of the largest, with HBO Max, Hulu and Prime Video’s new additions being pretty thin on the ground, but at least Netflix and Disney Plus are bringing us a decent batch of movies and TV shows to keep you going until Monday.
The latter, for instance, delivers 11 new titles today, including new episodes of The Right Stuff, Weird but True and One Day at Disney and whole seasons of a couple of National Geographic docuseries. But the highlight of the load has to be Frozen spinoff Once Upon a Snowman, a new short film starring Josh Gad as Olaf that explores what happened to the loveable carrot-nosed critter following his creation during the first movie.

Disney Plus has had a pretty good month so far, offering subscribers everything from brand new original shows and movies to classic films that have certainly added even more nostalgia to a service already teeming with it. The original flick Clouds has provided a dose of inspiration for viewers to absorb, while the addition of beloved movies like Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent, the mutant sequel X2, and ensemble comedy Cheaper by the Dozen 2 has kept everyone busy while they wait for October’s biggest release.
That’s right – we all know season 2 of The Mandalorian is probably all that’s on your mind these days, but you’ve still got to hold on until October 30th for the premiere episode. While you continue to sit patiently, though, waiting to see Baby Yoda in an adorable pouch sling – no, really, go look at how cute that is – today’s Disney...

Though Disney Plus may not offer the volume of fresh content that typically comes to Netflix and Hulu each month, fans of the Mouse House are usually treated to some genuinely exciting stuff that ranges from classic movies and shows to brand new Disney Plus Originals. This month has been no different, of course, with the addition of such hits as Angelina Jolie’s fantasy flick Maleficent, season 31 of the beloved show The Simpsons and an inspirational true story in the form of the original film Clouds.
Of course, you’ll want to keep looking forward, too, as Disney Plus will be premiering the first episode of the second season of The Mandalorian in just a few weeks. It’s no secret that the series ranks #1 as the most anticipated returning show, and its sophomore season is almost certain to be just as exciting – if not more so – than its incredibly well-received first outing.

The Mandalorian season 2 arrives on Oct. 30 and is the biggest ticket item on Disney+ this month and perhaps is the biggest ticket item in all the streaming world. Rest assured that the itty bitty Baby Yoda will be returning once again. And be sure to catch up all the other secrets the trailer holds here.
In addition to Mando, Disney+ is brining another major original series to its stream this month. The Right Stuff, based on on the 1979 book of the same name about the NASA space program, will be arriving on Oct. 9 and debuting new episodes throughout the month.

With October quickly approaching, it’s time to start looking ahead to what’s coming to all our favorite streaming services next month, and as usual, Disney Plus is first out of the gate in regards to announcing what’s on the way. We’ll get to the full list shortly, but clearly, the big highlight for many will be season 2 of The Mandalorian.
Though it took a while for the Mouse House to begin the marketing campaign for it, the past few weeks have brought us photos, posters and, of course, a stunning full-length trailer for the show’s next run, all of which promise another thrilling adventure. Rumors of behind the scenes turmoil aside, all signs point to The Mandalorian making another big splash on the platform with its second season and we can’t wait to see what Baby Yoda and Mando get up to next.
