Quotes
-
King Babar : [searching for clues at Zephir's malt shop] There aren't anymore clues to be found here.
[learns on counter]
King Babar : I must think; If I were a criminal, where would I go to hide out?
[hears a distant ship's horn blowing]
King Babar : Of course.
[puts down his magnifying glass]
King Babar : The waterfront.
[heads off towards the waterfront]
-
Uncle Arthur : [Arthur is placed in jail for the theft of Rataxes' statue] You've got to get me out of this!
King Babar : I'm sorry, Arthur. You'll have to remain in custody until we can find the statue and return it to Rataxes.
Uncle Arthur : But I'm innocent!
King Babar : I believe you.
Uncle Arthur : I found the statue at a bus stop!
King Babar : That part I have a little trouble with.
Uncle Arthur : I know my story sounds farfetched, but you're the king. You can release me!
King Babar : Unfortunately, the evidence at this point is overwhelmingly against you, Arthur. And even the king cannot be above the law.
Uncle Arthur : Yes of course. I understand. You can't show me special treatment. But what about Zephir? He could be in trouble!
King Babar : We've got patrols crisscrossing the city at this very minute. Don't worry, Arthur. They'll find Zephir and the statue. We'll have you out of there in no time.
[Babar and Pompadour walk out the jail]
Pompadour : We hope.
