Don't listen to the critics! This movie is classic Wayans comedy. Marlon did an amazing job playing 6 characters! They were each unique, and each hilarious.
The way you are introduced to each one is a surprise, and with the addition of each character the laughs increase. You will find yourself thinking that the movie is stale at first, because the main character is the straight man in this comedic performance. Each of his siblings is far more colorful than the next. As you are introduced to them truly funny scenarios occur and each sibling gets their moment to make you laugh. By the time you've met all 6 you have completely loosened up and are just letting the laughs come naturally. I found myself really rooting for Alan and his newfound family, and by the end of the movie I was grinning from ear to ear.
