- Trivia"Jokeri Pokeri Box" ran four seasons between 1992 and 1995. The first two seasons (32 episodes shot in Oulu) are directed by Eeli Aalto, the father of Simo Aalto. The third season is directed by Orvo Kontio, and the fourth by Ulpu Tolonen (the third and fourth seasons consist of 38 episodes shot in Helsinki).
A 13-part first season premiered on Finnish television in September 2, 1992 on children's magazine series "Veturi" on Wednesdays at Yle TV1 channel, usually shown together with a Finnish series "Papukuvat". The season was shot in Kindergarten Maikkula (Finnish: Maikkulan päiväkoti) in Oulu, Finland. From episode three to the end of the season, Aalto wears a tuxedo (instead of a "Joker-Jester" costume like in the rest of the series).
The second season premiered on August 29, 1993, consisting 19 episodes. It was shown on "Veturi" on Sunday mornings, usually together with the British series "Frootie Tooties" (Finnish: Tervetuloa Fruttimaahan) and Toucan 'Tecs: The Adventures of Zippi & Zac (1990) (Finnish: Tukaanidekkarit). From August 28, 1993, "Veturi" was hosted by Antti Lappi on Saturdays and Sundays. The season of "Jokeri Pokeri Box" was shot in Santamäki School (Finnish: Santamäen koulu) in Kempele, with close-up magic sections in the old rectory (Finnish: Vanha pappila) of Oulu, Finland. The final episode from the second season aired on a Saturday morning on January 1, 1994. At the same episode of "Veturi", Simo Aalto makes a transition to host. Between January 15 and December 31, 1994, Aalto hosted 37 episodes of "Veturi" on Saturday mornings, also doing magic tricks between the different programs. The 1994 hosting segments of "Veturi" are directed by Ulpu Tolonen.
From January 7, 1995, "Veturi" was hosted by a fictional duo of Ansa and Oiva, played by Mari Vainio and Ari-Kyösti Seppo respectively. The 21-part third season of "Jokeri Pokeri Box" also premiered on the same episode of "Veturi" on Saturday mornings. In the first five episodes, Aalto performs in a similar train set as the hosts Ansa and Oiva, but the remaining episodes of the season are shot in Kindergarden Linnunlaulu (Finnish: Linnunlaulun päiväkoti) in Helsinki, Finland. From episode six, "Jokeri Pokeri Box" has an opening sequence (with a new theme song), but no on-screen title or the end credits.
The 17-part fourth season premiered in September 2, 1995 on Saturday mornings after a summer break of "Veturi" (still hosted by Ansa and Oiva). The series itself doesn't have an on-screen title or the end credits, but the title "Jokeri Pokeri Box" (along with brief end credits) is included during the end credits of "Veturi". The third and the fourth seasons also features a magician's assistant Kirsti Aalto, a real-life wife of Simo Aalto from 1993. A newly named series "Simon taikateltta" premiered on December 31, 1995 on children's magazine series "Pikku Veturi", directed by Ulpu Tolonen.
