I laughed so many times during this ep
ldamena29 September 2021
It was pretty enjoyable especially with all the Superfriends being affected by the totem. Gave way for some very funny scenes. Kara struggling to defeat the totem was a goo way of cancelling out the comedy and adding just the right amount of superhero drama. Great character moments by some of the Superfriends too.

Now this is Supergirl
GomezAddams66630 September 2021
This episode felt like a nice return to the show's status quo instead of the political nightmare of the precious episode, we are here to see Superheroes, not political activists.

They finally got back to what they do best.
bellefeuilleannick31 October 2021
Solid episode with some fun scenes. We have missed seeing the focus on Kara for so long that it was refreshing to see. I questioned why Kelly was even in this episode, she was used so little and unnecessarily (literally the opening scene was to establish why she would not be in the ep) and the ending when she showed up uninvited and unneeded but then suddenly has the reflexes to see and deflect lightening had his shouting at the screen (and the cringe final scene with her and Alex where she came across as clingy and stalkeriish - I will always be around you forever and Alex was like 'sure okay' and nothing more). They could have skipped Kelly from this episode entirely and then not had the William and Nia scenes (just leave her having her power nap) and used that time for more Kara and Alex scenes, or Kara and J'onn. It's what the show does best, it's what we have been begging for, it's what the actors excel at etc. No quick forehead kiss when Kara wakes up on the sunbed, no jokes about how much Alex hated being optimistic, so much wasted opportunity so they could squeeze in William's handful of lines. Also that McGuffin / portable hall of requirements thing Alex wears now is just ridiculous. I liked her better without it.

That's More Like It....

Warning: Spoilers
I think the only Negative that I could give this Episode of Supergirl is that I think I was still feeling the sting of the Pervious Episode, because that beginning Scene with Kelly and Alex. And them Talking about Kelly being Gradian. Just worries me the next time Kelly shows up on Screen as Garden for some reason. But love that Scene itself so I guess that's a plus I guess. And the other two are kind of a Nip Picks. The First is that when the Totem Of Courage was first Split is that I don't fully understand how or why that could make everyone around in the Area when it was Split Violent, I mean shouldn't it make you do Reckless things and not be Violent? And the other is during the climax when the main scientist of the episode started beating on J'onn's chest that came off as overly Cartoony to me. And not only that she wasn't even trying she was just tapping on his chest rather than ponding on it repeatedly.

And now for the Positives, where to begin? I guess I'll begin by saying that. This episode got back to the story which I like aside from everything that Don't like about the episode before this feels more like a 'Filler' which I don't think it was supposed to be. The part I like Best about this episode is the scene where Brani was accidently the Host to Vita, that was Amusing I have to say. And Having Kara Fail her Mental Test was a Nice Change and Refreshing and Unpredictable which is what I like. And finally the thing I liked Best is actually Humanizing Nxy even more was nice, it's also nice to get not only a Vocal Backstory for Nxy which is what we got in Pervious episodes, but also a Visual Backstory for Nxy in this Episode as well. And I guess having Kara and Nxy being Physically Connected now is a nice touch for both of the Characters for obvious reasons that it makes things more challenging and at the same time potentially simpler for both of them and their teams I guess you can call what Nxy and her male companion and ally are?

Much Better
nailzag29 September 2021
This show really gets better when it avoids talking about political stuff, this ep was one of the best of the season, simply because it focused on the issue of supergirl heroism, very good, hope the next ones continue in that vibe I really like Lena character, when she in, everything gets better too.

Astounding how bad the writing is.
Cogitator_X30 September 2021
I can't believe the people who write this show somehow remain employed. It's like they've never read a book or comic, seen a sci-fi movie in their lives.

They actually made the "sling that killed Goliath" a children's Y shaped stick instead of an actual sling. They apparently didn't take western history 101 in college either.

And everything involving Lena Luthor is pure cringe including Katie McGrath's horrific American accent.

The poor actors, especially Melissa Benoist deserved better.

Kara is back as the lead
ishitatechnexttechnosoft29 September 2021
The past few episodes grossly sidelined Kara. But now she is back as the lead of the show again. The story is clearly focused on her again and this episode allows her to show off her powers. Moreover, this ep was a lot of fun to watch and it was nice to see the main OGs come together and share scenes again.

I'm always being negative about CW shows but this episode proved that they still can make it right. I was pretty good to watch it, was fun, also had a little drama, I loved it.

finally supercorp together again!
mvizsla29 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's so so so nice seeing them working together again, trusting each other again, and most important supporting each other. Lena makes kara feel hopeful and happy and i think i won't ever recover. Also the domesticity??? Kara being kara with lena, in her homeee with normal clothes and no glasses? Everything.

Kara and Lena are Perfect For Each Other
TheReaper67529 September 2021
Ok I LOVED this episode. We got to see supergirl expand and hopefully become more! This episode was action packed and hilarious, I loved the moments with team supergirl and Nyxly. Kara finally wearing human clothes without her glasses was awesome, and the fact that it was with Lena is just amazing! 10/10 best episode of the season by far.

Unimaginative copycat plot
jp75701 October 2021
So, the final season seems to be a complete rip-off of the MCU and last two Avengers films? Six Infinity Stones versus seven magic totems? Check. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance? Check. Really?!? Haven't we seen this all before?

Notice that the new Guardian seems to have long corn-row braids when wearing the helmet that magically return to normal hair when the helmet is off? Really?!? And now Lena, that last of the "normal" cast members is also powered (not a meta but a witch). Really?!? Who else is left to be, you no, "normal" (i.e. No powers)?

Yes, comic book shows require a suspension of disbelief, but this is ridiculous. I have watched from season 1, episode 1, but the reduction is quality has been astonishing.

Hilarious AND Meaningful!
uciebila29 September 2021
I must admit when I saw the promo last week and heard about how 'funny' this episode would be, I expected the worst, it looked like a chaotic mess.

But, this was actually one of the best episodes of the season in my opinion! They did give some funny light hearted character moments, that really did make me laugh, but they also gave us a lot of raw, character driven moments too!

It was nice to see Dansen interacting as the solid couple they are, both at home and in the field, and it was also great to have Lena back interacting with everyone. I feel like having at last one character missing over the last couple episodes really did leave it feeling incomplete, but finally all the main characters are back and working as a proper team.

NIce Change After Last Week's Debacle
city5705boy29 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Back to the main plot, after last week's filler train wreck. Nice to see Lena back, she's what Kara needs. Some nice action, and Supergirlesque Sci-Fi action, what we all want to tune in to see. There was no need to show the Guradian/Hawkgirl segment in the re-cap scenes, had nothing to do with this episode. Nice that all of that SJW story was done off camera. I would've given this a ten rating if not for two scenes with Kelly Olsen in it. This episode shows that she's not needed. It was nice to see some legitimate writing this week.

Has the stunt work always been this godawful?
xaos231 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The cafeteria fight scene has to be one of the laziest, worst choreographed fight scenes ever filmed. SO many blatantly bad punches filmed (like at least try to hide the fact that there's a good 6"-12" of space between a fist and a face). And Guardian (a normal human who has been doing this for what a week at best) can now block lightning with her shield? Was this just slow lightning for a change? Can't wait for this show to be over (this is the first season I've been let down and it's been a rough one).

A great episode
tapr-517481 October 2021
The episode was very complete. Kara was the strong leader that her team needs. The Supercorp scene were beautiful and well used.

Nyxly showed as a complex villain. The Superfriends are going to need all they're effort to defeat her.

The thread created for the finale it's very interesting. We can see that the show has prepared many surprises to comes.

Great episode, again! We are really missing supercorp scenes
expeditopaz-289-35376629 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Great, great episode! That was goofy most of the time, but dosed with cool drama when necessary. Brainy's scene possessed by the old kryptonian witch was a blast, Alex and Jonn acting recklessly was real, real funny, but the cherry on top was the bunch of scenes between Kara and Lena. We needed this for quite some time, and Melissa Benoist and Katie McGrath delivered great moments as they used to do.

One of the best episodes from the series, kudos to all writers, director Tawnia McKiernan and all cast and crew.

Fun and it has a very much missed focus on Kara
helligious2 October 2021
It's not a secret that this show has become more about the superfriends than Kara herself. But this episode had an excellent amount of The leader of the show. There were some brilliant and beautiful shots, Kara being vulnerable with Lena... Really nice to watch. Brainy/Vita was such a fun touch, too! I loved this episode.

Kara is the Epitome of Courage
alksmtr30 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One of the best episodes this season!

It's great seeing Lena back and working with Kara and Superfriends. Great Supercorp moments, Lena saying "I believe in you" and "You are the epitome of courage" to Kara💙 Also Nyxly sensing Kara being happy and hopeful when she's with Lena😌

It is also a relieve seeing Lena embracing her witch side to help Kara and Superfriends fight Nyxly.

There also great Dansen moments, they're amazing and a great portrayal of a healthy relationship. I'm also glad the writers didn't just brush of on what happened in 6x12, by having Kelly continually taking care of it this episode!

Seeing the Superfriends being affected by the courage totem was refreshingly funny. It's fun seeing Alex and J'onn being careless. Braing was also really funny when he was possessed by Vita.

Nyxly's confrontation to her brother during the test was an amazing scene, it humanizes Nyxly and made the audience better understand where she's coming from.

Even William's appearance in this episode is tolerable.

The concept of totems is great because we get to see Kara better understanding herself and her trauma, also we get to see episode flashbacks.

Overall, it's a great light episode!
