Strong family drama, highly relatable to those with dysfunctional families and who have been through addiction. The children in families who are often neglected as a result of another sibling's serious mental illness deserve a voice, and this film makes a dent in that.
Superb performances all round, especially Kayden Brenna Tokarski, who should have a massive future. A feature length version of this would be great, getting into Mile's life as an addict, his daily struggles would be interesting.
Hopefully My Melancholy Baby gets the recognition it deserves now it's on Amazon Prime. Eight out of ten.
