A love story in the days of the forbidden love

One of the cool movies that reflects the culture and traditions of some areas in Saudi Arabia.

Writer: A well written story, should of been developed by more focus in terms of character development, background and history.

Director: Reflected the sorry really well, highlighting the period in a good way in terms of choosing the location, shooting and execution.

Actors: Good acting in general, my main issue is that the main character was more leaning into his soft side, some scenes definitely would have been better with more aggression.

Ending: Nice ending to the story, with a soft twist.

Amazing Insights Into The Saudi Society

I can't put in words how I feel while watching work. It's very honest, crafted, balanced, very good direction and writing, remarkable performances. This is what is Art supposed to be. But yet, I can't helped to feel unease as it reaches out to the contradictions that we live in, or used to be. Times simply change, more to the worse, perhaps. This change is well-portrayed in this movie. And I fear of how the society will be affected with it. I enjoyed this movie and I felt different as I fished it. I guess this is right feeling given my conservative culture.

Last, Saudi cinema is thriving very fast and worth to give it the chance to shine.

A distinct idea as well as the dramatic case that prevailed between the cruelty of the sword and the shame of the tambourine, and between blood and tears. Beautiful writer, creative actors, distinguished professional director.

I recommend watching the movie.

Saudi drama needs a lot of work

When u see a movie it's supposed to make u feel the story and live it , I really didn't feel a thing!

Also the topic is recurring in almost all saudi drama which makes it very boring to watch the same kind of story over and over , the star though is a great actor I hope he finds better Ps: couldn't get over the fact that the car plates was changed in 1996 whereas the movie takes place in the year 2000( if am not mistaken) .

A lot of people here giving it a high rate just because they want to support without giving it as independent rating. Im sorry to say it, but its poor movie, boring story and above of that weak script! If i would ask for anything, it would be my time that i wasted on watching the movie.

Also i was a bit confused about suror's back story and what shama has to do with this whole situation? Other than that, the story was beautiful and the ending broke my heart :(

Story that capture the depth of our emotions, a movie that near to the reality of that time.. a peek at the emotion battle we would have if we are faced with this type of situation.
