Courtney Hogan, who replaced Robin Anne Phipps in the lead role of Naomi, after the latter suffered an injury just before filming, was actually replaced by Phipps in the role of Dee - because of a scheduling conflict - in the movie Rex (2008), which was also produced by Sam Borowski.
There are several homages and connections to Saturday Night Fever in the film. One location - where Naomi sits on a bench underneath the Verrazano Bridge is the same location where John Travolta sat in Saturday Night Fever filmed 32 years earlier. In addition the framing of the final shot is very similar, as are the beginning of the end credits.
Robin Anne Phipps wound up recording two songs for the film, including the original title track, "The Mandala Maker," written by Gregory Nissen.
Conor Timmis, playing Eric, wears a Wagner College sweatshirt in one scene. This is the alma mater of Writer-Director-Producer Sam Borowski.
Sam Borowski, Robin Anne Phipps, Robert Pralgo, Daniel Roebuck and Supervising Sound Editor Colin Birney all worked together on Rex (2008).
