A wonderful season finale. So many emotions, amazing acting. I cried several times because the struggle of characters is so well presented. One can absolutely feel for the mother when she breaks down crying when rebuilding the barn. And all the pain and emotions that Erica feels when talking to her brother knowing that she can't stop him from dying. It is very heartbreaking.
I do not completely understand why she couldn't do anything to stop him. Yes, the fire was his mistake. But maybe if something was said to him, not a warning and not directly throw his joint away, but maybe some sort of encouragement and understanding he wouldn't have gone to the barn. Our words and actions affect the actions of others. I guess maybe it is because nothing that Erica herself did that day was wrong? But I won't dwell on it, no matter what it was an amazing episode.
And again, while she couldn't change what she wanted so much she could make a little action that couldn't save her brother but could help to heal the pain of her family later in life.
I just hope Dr. Tom wasn't fired. I love him as her therapist and would want to see him back
