This is the second animated short by Austin Hillebrecht that I have seen that stars his character, Daniel Whitaker. Both shorts have very nice computer generated animation and although they only last a few minutes, I was very impressed by them--particularly this short, THE MISSING SOCK.
Young Daniel is doing the laundry when he notices a sock is missing. He climbs into the dryer and it magically slams shut. He finds himself in an odd world where he eventually finds his sock...and a monster! This would help explain why our socks seem to disappear, though I always thought is was sock elves.
Very well made, clever and I sure hope to see more from Austin Hillebrecht. See these shorts for yourself--you can't help but like them.
