This film was produced jointly by The Plain Dealer and the Hippodrome Theater, with Samuel R. Brodsky acting as director. For the production, The Plain Dealer held a contest for the best script written locally. The supporting players were also chosen locally through a Plain Dealer contest. The female lead would be portrayed by silent-era actress Diana Allen.
