Johnny is in his apartment trying to come up with a way of telling Miguel about him and Carmen. He remembers when he was very young, and his mother told him she was marrying Sid after his father left. Johnny was extremely upset, and did not want a new father, and begins to worry that Miguel will feel the same. Meanwhile, Daniel is taking Miguel driving down Encino. He introduces him to new genres of 80s music like soft rock. They come up on a yellow light and Miguel instinctively speeds through it like Johnny, but Daniel tells him that if he is going to be driving with Sam he'd better learn to drive safely. Miguel apologizes, but Daniel understands how it is to have to learn life skills without a dad. Miguel muses that he has a dad, just not one that he knows. Johnny doesn't argue the point, but tells him not to let Kreese brainwash him, though Robby says he doesn't trust Kreese, or anyone, but is using Cobra Kai to get what he wants. Johnny warns him again but Robby brushes him off, saying his fear was that he would end up like Johnny, but that he has gotten rid of that fear. Having delivered his message, Robby leaves.
