Fun Seeing the Cast Together
Friday the 13th Reunion (2009)
*** (out of 4)
On September 13, 2008, cast and crew members of Friday THE 13TH had a reunion where they fielded questions from fans. Tom Savini, Adrienne King, Betsy Palmer, Ari Lehman, Victor Miller and Henry Manfredini field questions about the casting of the picture, the characters, the movie ending and a fan makes a special request for King. This is a pretty good little featurette that fans should enjoy but at the same time it's probable that most people watching this knows everything that is discussed. With that said, as a fan there's just something about the cast and crew that makes it entertaining to keep hearing these stories convention after convention and documentary after documentary. Miller talks about Sean S. Cunningham coming up to him and saying they should rip off HALLOWEEN. Palmer talks about why she didn't have a bigger part in the sequel, which was due to a stalker and not money. Savini briefly discusses how he got involved in the film and Palmer tells the same story about how she didn't want to be in but went ahead because she thought no one would see it. Nothing new is told here but it's still fun to watch.
