Netflix’s longstanding drama “The Crown” is releasing its season finale this week, but what other new titles are coming to a streamer near you?
December is normally when scripted TV shows are winding down for a midseason break. There was nothing normal about the TV production schedule in 2023, however, as strikes by both the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) knocked Tinseltown off its production schedule for more than 100 days.
Despite the irregularities, there are two series that are preparing to air their final episodes this week! Check out which two they are, and take in the rest of the list to find something new and exciting to stream each and every day until Sunday.

The 2023 Doc NYC lineup has officially been announced.
The program for the 14th annual festival includes opening night selection “The Contestant,” a real-life “Truman Show”-esque story of a Japanese comedian who was trapped alone and naked in an apartment for 15 months as part of a reality TV show. The only twist? The comedian had no idea he was being filmed. Clair Titley directs the stranger-than-fiction documentary which premiered at TIFF.
Doc NYC runs from November 8 through 26, featuring 30 world premieres and 26 U.S. premieres with more than 200 films programmed. New films from Wim Wenders, Penny Lane, Dawn Porter, and Jeff Zimbalist are among the lineup for America’s largest documentary festival, with screenings at New York City’s IFC Center, Sva Theatre, and Village East by Angelika. In-person screenings take place November 8 through 16, with online selections available through November 26.

When you talk to Candace Bushnell, you don’t really see Carrie Bradshaw.
Instead, you see more of a Samantha Jones, a fabulous blonde woman wearing sunglasses inside her Sag Harbor home in the Hamptons. She’s put together, and eager to get down to business — she says she’s working on being her own Mr. Big rather than searching for him.
In the mid-1990s, Bushnell wrote a column for the New York Observer titled Sex and the City. There, she examined Manhattan life through the sex lives and relationships of her and her friends. As the column progressed, she began writing about herself under the pen name “Carrie Bradshaw.”
Later in that decade, Darren Star created the HBO series “Sex and the City” based on Bushnell’s column. It ran for six seasons, from 1998-2004, and then launched two films and the subsequent where-are-they-now spin off series, “And Just Like That,...

Fans of Aurora Teagarden Mysteries on Hallmark might want to sit down for this one...
The hit movie series starring Candace Cameron Bure is not expected to produce any new installments.
Variety reported Tuesday that there are no plans for future installments for Aurora, and that Bure will not be starring in any upcoming projects with the Crown Media Network.
It is unclear at this stage if this will be permanent, but it sure sounds like it's in response to Bure's move to Gac Family this week.
It was revealed Tuesday that the former Full House star had inked a megadeal with the company run by former Hallmark boss Bill Abbott.
As part of the deal, the former Full House star will take on a prominent executive role at the company to oversee and curate programming for the networks as a whole.
