Batman's mention of "an address at the corner of Haney and Aparo" is a tribute to Bob Haney, a long-time writer for the Brave and the Bold from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s, and to Jim Aparo, who was the principal artist for the Brave and the Bold from 1971 until the title's cancellation in 1983.
The adult Robin's costume is very similar to the one worn in the classic story "Interlude on Earth-Two" (The Brave and the Bold, January 1982) by Alan Brennert. There Batman also had a difficult team-up with an angry and resentful adult Robin (though this one is from the parallel world of Earth-Two).
