Drug boss Sweeney visits Chris's unsuspecting wife at home and calls the cop, threatening his family's safety if he doesn't find Casey. Chris insists he put her on a train, but Sweeney has evidence suggests that she never left. Marco arrives home after a vandal wrecked the cheese he attempted to sell, find Casey on his couch and calls Sweeney, claiming the prize he offered for her location. Car patrol officer Phil O'Rourke and hopelessly green, naive trainee partner Rachael Hargreaves stop a car, the driver jumps out to beat up Hargreaves, O'Rourke intervenes, only to be beaten up worse. Chris responds as backup and has the man arrested, wisely instructing what to leave out of the report. Chris's boss Bernie Wilson dumps Hargreaves on him for the night while O'Rourke recovers from his injuries. On their patrol, they encounter homeless Davey, who has reported his 'bed' torched by local teens, whom Chris finds and intimidates with illegal violence to behave and leaving Davey alone, expecting information about Casey, but Davey smarts he never said that he knew anything about her whereabouts, just wanted help. Unseen, Raymond Mullen, the IA detective who brought Chris down initially, is tailing the patrol, looking for an opportunity to get him behind bars. Sweeney and his goons, along with Marco, bring Caisey to an undisclosed location to attempt to pry information about her sale of Sweeney's drugs. She points them towards a certain Smiggy, who holds out a party for the night. Concurrently, Chris and Hargreaves arrive there, also in search of Smiggy, albeit for Chris's own benefit. Instructed to wait for Chris, Hargreaves encounters Sweeney upon his singular arrival, goes inside and tries to stop some teens from taking drugs. Chris arrives to break up the ensuing fight, yet angered Hargreaves calls him incompetent, even insinuates corruption, so Chris leaves without her.
