So this is it? The big release? After two years of marketing, this is supposed to be the spearhead of a new age of storytelling in the Warhammer universe?
The animation barely deserves that name, being more slideshow than anything else. Sadly, it´s plainly obvious that this is not the result of an artistic choice but simply to keep it cheap. While somewhat understandable, the slideshow feeling does not really help to set the mood.
The story is alright, choosing a humorous approach from the Ork´s point of view works - though a more subtle use of comedic relief might have worked better.
The voice acting and music are alright, though there are technical issues at times.
All in all, it just feels like they did the bare minimum. Take an already established story, flip the point of view, add some generic music and make sure it does not cost too much.
It´s not exactly horrible, but not really enjoyable or memorable either. So it leaves you with the worst feeling a movie or series can leave you with - that it could have been so much better, if only they put in the effort.
Additionally, not crediting the work of anyone involved adds to the impression, that this animation is not a labour of passion but a glorified advert for the physical Games Workshop products.
