  Courtney Whitmore : [shaking her head]  I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys about Brainwave. I know we said no secrets, but it-it didn't feel like it was my secret to tell. And... now I think that was a mistake.

  Barbara Whitmore : I'm sure she didn't have a choice, right?

  Courtney Whitmore : I just wish I knew how to help her. Was this Brainwave or... was it Eclipso? Or was it just in her head?

  Pat Dugan : I know. Eclipso hasn't made a move.

  Courtney Whitmore : No, the Staff, I mean. It's getting better, but it's still so weak. It may have hurt Eclipso, but he hurt it right back. He killed Cindy and Isaac right in front of us. And maybe the Shade, too.

  Pat Dugan : Nothing in the news since then. No deaths, no disappearances.

  Courtney Whitmore : Nothing reported, but how do we really know? I mean... he could've left Blue Valley.

  Pat Dugan : But the weather's only gotten worse.

  Courtney Whitmore : Then why is he still here? He escaped the black diamond, so what does he want now? What could Blue Valley mean to someone like Eclipso?

  Pat Dugan : Whatever the reason, I know it's not good.

• Courtney Whitmore : And you're sure you can't locate Eclipso?

  Beth Chapel : I don't even know how to track him anymore, Court. Summer's not summer. There are clouds and storms moving all over Blue Valley. The trees are bare in July.

  Courtney Whitmore : What about Chuck or Dr. McNider? Has he said anything?

  Beth Chapel : Nothing. I've been trying to reach out, but I don't even know how the goggles connected to him in the first place. If Dr. McNider is alive, Pat thinks the voice I heard could have been Eclipso. After everything that's happened... I'm not sure what's real anymore.

  Courtney Whitmore : Me neither. Well, let's keep looking. Stay safe.

  Beth Chapel : Okay. You, too.

• Maria Montez : Courtney?

  Courtney Whitmore : Uh, Mrs. Montez, hi. Um, is Yolanda there?

  Maria Montez : She doesn't want to talk to you.

  Courtney Whitmore : Um... is she okay?

  Maria Montez : It's your influence that has corrupted my daughter. I know it. Stop calling.

• Yolanda Montez : I didn't want anything from anyone. I just wanted to be left alone, but you couldn't do that.

  Courtney Whitmore : What?

  Yolanda Montez : Tell me, Courtney. Why did you do it? Why did you choose me? I wasn't supposed to be Wildcat. I wasn't supposed to hurt anyone!

  Courtney Whitmore : Yolanda, I...

  Yolanda Montez : [crying]  I'm never putting on that costume again. I quit.

  Beth Chapel : Do what? What's going on?

  Yolanda Montez : [Courtney nods in encouragement]  I... I killed Brainwave.

  Rick Tyler : What?

  Beth Chapel : I thought he died when the tunnels caved in on him.

  Courtney Whitmore : I know we said that, and we're sorry, but...

  Yolanda Montez : Brainwave made himself look like Henry. He was talking to me. He was apologizing. But... I knew it wasn't him. So I used my claw... I used my claws and... I watched him die.

  Rick Tyler : Well... I would've killed Brainwave, too, if I had the chance.

  Yolanda Montez : Then why didn't you kill Solomon Grundy?

  Rick Tyler : My hour was up.

  Yolanda Montez : Was it? Or did you just let Grundy go because you couldn't do it? Because you're a better person than me?

  Rick Tyler : Yolanda, you did what you had to do for our team. Right, Beth?

  [turning to her after getting no response] 

  Rick Tyler : Beth?

  Beth Chapel : I don't know. I'm sorry.

  Yolanda Montez : Well, I do. None of you are capable of doing what I did. I know what's gonna happen when we find Eclipso. We're gonna have to kill him. So who's gonna do it? You, Rick?

  [to Beth] 

  Yolanda Montez : You? Court? No. And I don't want you to. I don't want you to have to life with that guilt... to know that you'll always be a killer in God's eye. So that means it's on me. I'm gonna have to kill Eclipso to save the rest of you. I'm gonna have to be the JSA member that kills.

• Courtney Whitmore : What happened?

  Yolanda Montez : It's not just the sounds, Court. I see Brainwave now. And Henry.

  Courtney Whitmore : This has to be Eclipso.

  Yolanda Montez : This has been going on long before Eclipso.

  Courtney Whitmore : Hey.

  Yolanda Montez : This is my punishment.

  Courtney Whitmore : For what? No. For protecting yourself?

  Yolanda Montez : Just forget it.

  Courtney Whitmore : Yolanda, no. Please talk to me. I'm here for you.

  Yolanda Montez : You don't get it, anyway. You've never had to make a choice like I did.

  Courtney Whitmore : L-Let's talk to Rick and Beth.

  Yolanda Montez : No.

  Courtney Whitmore : You think you have to face this alone, but you don't. They love you as much as I do, and let's tell them what happened. They'll understand.

  Yolanda Montez : And what if they don't?

  Courtney Whitmore : They will. And then we can face this as a team.

• Rick Tyler : [at Courtney's house]  So, why are we meeting here? And where's Pat?

  Courtney Whitmore : Fixing S.T.R.I.P.E. with Mike.

  Rick Tyler : Good. He can stomp on Eclipso like a bug.
