Phenomenal

I loved this episode. Glad to see Hunter is doing (mostly) alright. The exploration of Gus's powers and development of the friendships between both Hunter and Gus and Willow and Amity was very cool. I loved getting to see some less featured characters (Matholomule, Viney, Skara, Jerbo, and Barkus) and see the students beginning to take multiple tracks. There's a lot of content for shippers of multiple ships: Hunter/Willow (obviously), Hunter/Edric or Emira (sort of, at least they've met in canon), and possibly Willow/Amity (/Luz)? Overall very good episode, can't wait for more!

Amazing Episode

Warning: Spoilers
This is easily one of the best episodes in season 2b, which is already a phenomenal season. It seemingly had many things working against it, such as having no Luz appearance, taking place entirely at Hexside, and the focus being on a less developed character, but the episode turned those into some of its best elements.

Gus had some amazing development, and has quickly shot up on my favorite characters list. His struggles with anxiety and being deceived were believable and in line with his character, and it retroactively made his previous focus episodes even better. His relationship with Hunter was also incredibly well-written and I loved the way they related to and were able to comfort each other. Willow and Amity's relationship also has some much-needed development and closure.

All the Hexside characters were great as well, and I found myself wanting to see more of them in the future. Overall, 10/10 episode in my opinion.

An entire episode of random things happening. Nonsense upon nonsense, that leads to nonsense.. What happened to this series? It feels like the writer had a stroke when they wrote this, but why did they still animate it?
