When Demetri Noh's fiancée Zoey arrives at the airport, she's pulling a small black wheeled suitcase with her handbag on top of it. When she stops to hug Demetri, she lets go of the case and they fall over. The camera pulls back, and you can clearly see the the handbag on its own, lying on the floor. In the next shot, when Demetri talks about going to a motel, the suitcase has reappeared under the handbag as he grabs the handle of the case and pulls it behind him as they walk off.
There is no "Quale" Prison in Munich, the only Prison in Munich is Stadelheim where even Hitler served a few years. German Prison Guards never carry guns.
When Janis is looking at a file describing an event in Somalia in 1991, the file says that the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) asked DHS for additional funding to study the incident. Although the Department of Homeland Security - commonly abbreviated as DHS - was not formed until 2002, in the later episode "Revelation Zero" it is indicated that DHS stands for an agency called Demographic and Health Services.
When writing the numbers on a piece of paper to explain the 137 Sekunden, Rudolf Geyer writes the numbers incorrectly for a German. As a German, he would have known to put a frontwards tail on the 1s and a horizontal line through the 7s. However, it was previously stated that Geyer lived in the US for at least two decades, so he might have adopted the American number format. Or he just writes like this, because his dialog partners are American.
When Zoey, Agent Noh's girlfriend, is writing a text message to him from the Airplane, her key pressing does not correspond to the actual letters shown on the phone's screen.
After Zoey finishes writing the text message to Agent Noh, she presses the red key on her cell phone and the message is sent. As a general convention, red keys cancel actions in all cell phones.
Aaron Stark's daughter, Tracy's grave lists her death as October 16, 2007. It would not take the Military 2 years to bury someone that was killed in action. The dirt on her grave is fresh signifying that she was recently buried.
When Geyer is speaking to the guard, the subtitles show him mentioning "something that will insure my release"; the correct spelling for this usage would be "ensure". Additionally, the English subtitles use the word "Herr" then the person's surname, a direct quote of the German word spoken. The correct subtitle would have been Mr. followed by the surname.
The plot of 137 Sekunden revolves around Mark Benford making a deal to release a Nazi war criminal who claims to have knowledge about the cause of the blackouts. Mark and Janis are depicted as agonizing about the possibility of releasing a Nazi based on claims which turn out to be false. However, in American law, and presumably in German law as well, such deals are predicated on the criminal actually providing the information they claim to have. Any criminal who tries to double cross the authorities will quickly find their agreement revoked.
Toward the end of this episode, a plot of crow population is shown indicating a drop in population at the time of the blackout (October). The graph plots additional population counts past October, including the months of November and December. However, the storyline has not advanced past October, therefore the population plot should have ended in October. In addition, it is improbable that the crow population trend numbers would have already been collected for the blackout period.
