Sometimes parents need to step back and let the kid make a decision. Still this doesn't go along with the name of the show. No wonder it's difficult in another episode for Betty to move out. Lauren Chapin can provide laughs. College is an eye opener for people of all ages. It helps to have Ray Collins to play the friendly and wise dean. And you've got to have a resourceful authority figure to tie up loose ends in a movie. It's a fun day for the family too. Billy Gray provides reminders for the parents who need to learn a lesson too. In these shows college doesn't seem much different from high school. That keeps the audience happy.

Jim and Margaret show Betty around the campus of their old college.
One of Season 3's best. Here both father and mother realize they don't always know best. They are pushing Betty to go to this school, not knowing that she does not want to go there. The dean of the school is still there, played by Ray Collins, soon to be Lt. Tragg on "Perry Mason". He sets the parents straight.
