June 2, 2010: The musical duo Sachin-Jigar is here to offer you some melodious tracks with their second release, Krantiveer – The Revolution. They have proved their musical skill with their first solo album Teree Sang.
The film is based on the dramatic affairs of the actors and do not require them to sing and dan ce around the trees. Krantiveer is not a musical movie at all as the name suggests but the association of Sachin-Jigar definitely promises some good music too. People would expect some fine musical scores from them after their brilliant performance in Tere Sang last year.
Expectations.

Mehul Kumar brings a sequel to his 90s blockbuster Krantiveer this time with a brand new cast and fee, but the same essential message of patriotism. The film marks the debut of young talent, in particular leading lady Jahan Bloch who we've seen as a child artist in Krantiveer and Kohram. Along with Jahan are artists Sameer Aftab, Aditya Singh Rajput and Harsh Rajput. The original featured Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles and Jahan Bloch had essayed the role of their daughter as a child artist. While the pioneers won't be seen in the sequel, Jahan takes the story forward in this film as the film is told through her perspective.
The movies sports music by the young and vibrant duo of Jigar-Sachin who've created waves with their last album, Teree Sang. Check out this song promo featuring Kay Kay and Shreya Ghosal!

The film stars Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba in lead roles. Bollywood Hungama got in touch with Tusshar who seemed excited about working on yet another comedy. "Yes....Hum Tum Aur Shabana is a really funny script. It's about Shreyas and I indulging in a competition of sorts to get Shabana (played by Minissha Lamba). We start shooting this week in Mumbai and later on even have a schedule in Goa. It should be good fun." The film, which also stars VJ Pia Trivedi in an important role, has been produced by Horseshoe Pictures Pvt. Ltd. (who earlier made the Aftab-Celina-Amrita starrer Red). Music of the film has been composed by Sachin-Jigar who earlier gave some impressive tracks in Teree Sang.

After planning Chintuji’s political career, Kulraj Randhawa is once again set to do comedy. She is doing a film ‘Mastang Mama’ opposite young and charming actor Ruslaan Mumtaz who impregnated a teenager in Teree Sang- A kidult love story.
So what is Mastang Mama all about?
It’s a feel good film that revolves around mama-bhanja jodi.
Tell us about your character?
I am playing a cop in the film and I am after Ruslaan. While I am chasing him and he is running away from me, we happen to fall in love. I am very funny cop who thinks that.

Satish Kaushik is hardly amused that some overzealous trade sources have taken no time in labeling Teree Sang as a box office failure. As per the filmmaker who has not just directed but also co-produced the film, Teree Sang is pretty much a 'plus' film and though it may not have made much noise at the box office, it has certainly broken even at least for its investors. "I am not quite sure if those who are deciding the box office status for a film have an iota of understanding...

Pritam has been Guru to many Chelas when it comes to music industry. Although, the music director is heard to share good rapport with his followers, but the bottom line is that none of them have been able to give him back the Guru Dakhshina properly, we mean, in terms of chartbuster music
We are talking about two duo-music composers, Sachin-Jigar and Imraan-Vikram. While Sachin-Jigar were barely recognized by the music-critics for Teree Sang; Imraan-Vikram’s musical endeavor in Agyaat went unheard, like the film itself.
Wonder, what’s the reason behind the debacle? Well, Guruji himself.

After the super success of the music of ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Kaminey’, it was quite a lull musically in the month of July. The only shining spot was Sachin-Jigar’s stupendous soundtrack in ‘Teree Sang’, which boasted of some excellent songs like ‘More Saiyaan’, ‘Maula’ and ‘Rab Mileya’ amongst others.
Thankfully, the month of August has been quite eventful though with a variety of albums hitting the stands. While there has been quite some quantity in store, thankfully even quality wise there is a lot in the offering,.

Sheena Shahabadi, who made a big impact with her debut in Teree Sang about a teenage pregnancy has admitted her own big mistake. The actress ran off with a minor TV actor, Vaibhav Gore, during the shooting of the movie and got married!!
"I married this man and the decision was wrong one. I am admitting I have made a blunder but now I have escaped from it," she says, "Everyone makes a mistake and I too did it, but now I am free."
The young actress was forced into the admission when Vaibhav announced the marriage to the press - possibly for his own publicity reasons. Does Sheena agree? "It looks like it," she concedes, "Why didn't he come out with it before now? But I am not scared to speak the truth. My parents have taught me to speak the truth and avoid all complications in life. I've moved on.

Ruslaan Mumtaz was first seen in Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar which was a rage with the younger watchers. More recently, he was seen in Teree Sang which was deemed a kid/adult film and depicted the story of a young couple who become pregnant and have to learn to grow up rather quick. However, the actor lost out to Dev Patel in the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire because of his rather "beefy" look. "Truthfully, it would have been wonderful if I would have got to play the role in Slumdog Millionaire - it was a fantastic film. But it's okay if I couldn't. I don't regret it," admits the 26-year-old actor.
He also went on to claim that he was called to the final audition for Slumdog four months after he was called for his first audition only to chopped and replaced by Dev Patel. When they had initially called him,...

The 15-year-old teenage mom in Teree Sang is actually a closet wife in real life.
The fact came to light on Thursday night when a TV actor named Vaibhav claimed he was Sheena’s secret husband.
The entire unit of Teree Sang including director Satish Kaushik and Sheena’s leading man Ruslaan Mumtaz laughed off the allegation as a desperate attempt for publicity.
But Sheena now shocks by admitting she was indeed married. “Yes I was married to this man. I made a blunder, and I’m not denying it. But now I’ve come out of it, wiser and sadder. We’re human. We all make mistakes..

This is Raj Kapoor's Bobby with furtive sex and a baby thrown in for good measure. Otherwise the boy-meets-girl formula never seemed more homage-bound. Soft to the touch, but underpinned by a strong message on sex and the single parent, Teree Sang is a sweet and likable spin on premature parenthood.

Our predictions about Love Aaj Kal overshadowing the new releases have hit the bull’s eye! Yes, Imtiaz Ali’s creative masterpiece collects 6.60 crores in the first week, in Mumbai itself. And now without underestimating the releases of the week, we begin with Chal Chalein, which still remains ‘Agyaat’ among the audiences. Poor promotion, as predicted, is resulting in a debacle for this film.
As far as Agyaat and Teree Sang are concerned, it has become neck-to-neck fight for Rgv and Satish Kaushik to fight it out on the box-office collections. While Agyaat remain dominant on single screens.

Just recently, South producer Ramoji Rao’s company had claimed that Satish Kaushik had plagiarised the story of his film, Chitram and made it as Teree Sang.
The controversy was appearing all set to blow up into a legal case as the next logical step would have been for Ramoji Rao to drag Kaushik to court. But then it is learnt that Satish Kaushik invited Ramoji Rao’s people to come and view his film before they knocked the doors of the court, as he had not pinched anything from Chitram. Rao’s lawyer and a senior person from his company flew to Bombay and saw Teree Sang three weeks back.

Satish Kaushik’s film on teen pregnancy Teree Sang featuring Ruslaan Mumtaz and debutante Sheena Shahabadi as teenagers, who became parents after having unprotected sex, was stalled for a number of reasons.
One among the many reasons is the crucial lovemaking scene where the girl gets pregnant.
When the director saw the decisive sequence he felt it lacked the impact it should.
Says Satish, “The girl Sheena was inexperienced in that sequence, and it showed. We needed to scrap and reshoot the scene.”
However a second stab at realism in the lovemaking yielded.

Movie Review: Tere Sang; Star Cast: Ruslaan Mumtaz, introducing Sheena Shahabadi, Rajat Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher; Director: Satish Kaushik; Rating: ** - Has its heart in its place…but.
While the poster designs of the film with a teenage girl shown pregnant suggests it to be a blatant copy of Oscar winning film Juno, the fact is Teree Sang is not. It is also not really similar to Preity Zinta’s Kya Kehna though it too dealt with a very young unmarried girl getting pregnant. But despite having its heart in the right place, Teree Sang doesn’t.

Now two years later I sit here anticipating what he's got to offer in his latest outing which director Satish Kaushik assures us is not a Hindi Juno! Teree Sang is at last ready to hit screens this Friday and as it happened with MP3, I am sure to that upon release Ruslaan will once again disappear into a crowd of screaming teens who've waited for a bit too long I'd say! So before he rushes off to his admirers,...
