"I think you need to wake up"
skteosk12 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
A nicely surreal episode, with large portions made up of Annie and Ruby dreaming about the guys in their life.Annie's dreams about Romeo are vaguely reminiscent of Geoff's dream the previous year and are typically innocent...even if Charlotte Best does get to do her first naked scene.Dream Jai's comments on their relationship are very cutting and point out one of the more curious aspects of the storyline. Ruby's are even more surreal and at first it isn't clear whether it's her or Geoff dreaming. Her conversation with Xavier is shot in a curiously different style, perhaps hinting at the lack of colour in their relationship. It all leads to a nice "girls talk" scene between the two which we haven't really had that often.

Not getting so much sleep are Charlie and Angelo, who Robertson drags out on surveillance largely so he can wind them up.As is often the case, his motives are unfathomable but it leads to some great scenes. Their discussion on trust cuts to the heart of the matter and seems to bring them back together. And then there's another cameo by Wayan which must have even the most committed of viewer scratching their head and going "What was that all about?"

Getting even less sleep are Rachel and Tony, as Harry's crying keeps them awake. It should be easier to sympathise with Rachel but she treats Tony so badly and seems so sanctimonious that it's very hard to do so, even though she's obviously stressed out and at the end of her tether. Her state of mind results in her making a very big mistake, nicely prefaced by another dream sequence as her subconscious tries to warn her that she's harming her son.
