Warning: Spoilers
The Bont forces the first through for the Dogs, Naughton with another soon after. He then runs down a kicker from the mark and Bont glides through to create an easy goal. Dunkley with the 4th on the trot for the Dogs, up 16 at quarter-time. Beveridge not even bothering with the ruck, playing English permanently forward. Great effort by Cordy on the goal-line to save a goal, the Dogs with the only goal in the 2nd term. Port kick 3 in row early in the 3rd, but the Dogs respond with 3 of their own. The Power then reply with 2 quality goals, by Ladhams and Boak, Dogs leading by 11 going into the last. Port's vets leading the way in the last, getting them over the line by 2 points, to guarantee 2nd spot on the ladder heading into finals. Despite the margin, no Bulldogs really stood up after the first term, though the Bont still impactful with just his 15 disposals. Port dominated the hit-outs, were +7 in clearances, had plenty more of the ball and still ahead in the tackle count. They had 7 more inside 50's and 7 more scoring shots, the Dogs accuracy on goal kept them in it. Wines best afield, with 34 disposals, 5 inside 50's, 9 tackles, 7 intercepts and a goal. Boak 31 disposals, 6 inside 50's, 440 metres gained, 2 goals and an assist. Gray 25 disposals, 6 clearances, 2 goals and an assist. Rozee and Bontempelli also among the best for either side.

3. (Port) O. Wines, 2. (Port) T. Boak, 1. (Port) R. Gray.
