So Kirsty exits the show by running away, just like she did last time she left. It's not fair on Miles and it's not fair on Ollie, the scene of him wondering why they're going away and Kirsty telling him to trust her makes you want to tell him to run for the hills.Although Paula Forrest makes the most of an underwritten part, Shelley's long-overdue return is little more than a plot device. There are some nice moments here, including Kirsty's last supper and her underplayed farewells to Nicole and Miles, but you're left with that final image of Kirsty selfishly walking away from everyone.
Elsewhere, Xavier and Romeo do their impersonation of Dumb and Dumber by hijacking Liam's flat and holding a rave.Throw in a dodgy mate of Liam's and it's a recipe for disaster. It's actually difficult to sympathise with anyone in this plot line except Liam and at a pinch Romeo, who's dragged into it largely against his will.Xavier is at his immature and annoying worst after a period when he seemed to be growing up and Rosie comes across as an incredibly shallow character, making out with Xavier hours after complaining about him not calling her friend.Add in Aden on a self-righteous kick and a really odd take on his relationship with Nicole and there's not much fun to be had here.
