This gives a fascinating look into Hitchcocks early life and roots. How the authorities knocked down the house in Leytonstone where he was born and built a petrol station in its place......a criminal act if ever I saw one. There is much information on the very private man in this documentary. It also looks at Hitchcocks connections and his support for the long forgotten Walthamstow film industry. Roy Ward Baker, assistant director on The Lady Vanishes is interviewed. There is also information about the long gone Gainsborough Film Studios which were in Islington. A must see documentary which has been very well made and researched.
