Short and Sweet

This short cemented the idea that Alberto should have been the main character of "Luca". He is much more interesting. And if I am being honest. I would have loved to see a whole film about him and Massimo. Like them finding each other and growing like a father and son.

I did find the start a little grating but I just don't like that cliche.

The ending was really touching tho. For a 5 minute short, it was a sweet story.

Alberto & Massimo reminds us the importance of family

For seven minute short movie based on Luca, McKenna Harris got simple story and detailed animation to reminds us that whatever mistakes you've done, you're still loved by your family. Alberto & Massimo showed endearing chemistry as father and son wannabe.

Alberto finds adapting to life among the humans a bit more difficult than he expected...especially in dealing with Massimo.

This short is a spin-off from "Luca" and follows one of the main characters, Alberto, in his life following the end of the previous film.

It begins with Alberto writing to his friend, Luca, who by now has gone off to school. As he writes, you see that Alberto's life with Massimo is very problematic, as Alberto knows little about human customs and he keeps making a mess of things. To make matters worse, Massimo continues to be a very quiet and reserved man and Alberto assumes the guy is getting fed up with him....particularly when he accidentally burns Massimo's boat.

I didn't love this short until the end...which was very sweet. It gave some added depth to the characters and overall, it's a very nice Pixar short.

A Good Continuation of Pixar's 'Luca'

Peoples overreaction made me go with a 7 rating

Don't get me wrong, i loved the short and the chemistry between Alberto and Massimo is cute, but the short film just didn't have anything interesting in it due to the trailer and peoples spoilers on instegram haha.

Overall, it was cute, funny and wholesum, if it wasn't for the people who overreacted with their spoilers, i would have enjoyed it more.

P. S : i know this is off topic, but people, please !! Stop drawing weird fandom of this movie.

Good as ever but hate the overhype

To be honest, i never reviewed any movie before, but i will try my best.

At first, Luca came out and gained over gained attention pretty much by everyone positively, even i liked it so much.

But we are gone to a level where people actually sexualizing the movie for being the two boys so called "into each other". I hated the fact that people gave this movie a bigger space than its shape.

But overall, i enjoyed the first movie, and this one did win me over it. But people, whoever is reading this, don't hate for saying this, but please stop giving something that it doesn't really go along with it.

Alberto is cute

I'm very good addition To this franchise actually. Now let's go back to when Luca was released 1st week it was announced I was like this is just gonna be another pixar Film like every other good but not great. And I am excluding all the nostalgia factor of Toy Story cars incredibles I love incredibles. But I'm talking about the new ones Just good but now this movie hits different it hits in a different way that people love it And in that sense I ended up loving this short and telling us about what it was like after Luke a lEFT. And it did it in a way that made you feel very emotional about what you're going on.

Best short film ever

First off, I loved Luca. The film was beautiful, smart, well written, unique and clever. I adored the characters, just wonderful. So when I stumbled upon this short I was looking forward to seeing it.

It didn't disappoint.

This short quickly hit so many feelings and I fell in love with my characters all over again. Alberto is so sweetly desperate for approval and love. Mossimo is big, quiet and loving in his own way.

I've watched this several times and will many more, it's beautiful and heartfelt and funny.

Darker , more sad than should be

It's beautiful and adorable, but much darker and sad than it should be. Why don't make more happy cartoons, why companies keep creating so many sad ones? That's why another adorable one, "Vivo!", never become too popular- because of horrible sad story in it!) Luca cartoon is so popular because it's a long-availted good one, which makes you happy after watching! All heroes in story stay alive and kind of "livibg happily ever after"! And here we go again, company decide try to ruin it by creating sad short "after" stories. Why, oh why?!

I really hope they make a bit more good, happy ones. Our works has enough cruelty and sad moments, we should sho kids how to live happy lives and create happiness to each other.

Oh boy oh boy a great classic spin off to the movie Luca (2021) what an awesome short With Alberto & Giulia's dad such a heartwarming short about love and parenthood.

They should make another short in the future about what happened to Luca and Guilia when they went to school. A cute addition to Pixar's already delightful Luca, Ciao Alberto is a funny, lovingly animated short film that also has that requisite amount of heart as the bond between Alberto and Massimo increases, though I feel the climax was a bit redundant of things the movie already made clear without spelling it out for us. But maybe that's just me being nitpicky. Did you notice Alberto starts writing with his left hand, but then he uses his right hand?. He handles knives with the left hand but forks with the right one.. let's say he is ambidextrous lol.

'Ciao Alberto (2021)' is a short film by Pixar which follows the exploits of Alberto after the events of 'Luca (2021)'. It's over almost before it begins, essentially building towards a climactic scene that's designed to give your tear ducts a workout. The rest of the thing is basically just a series of gags as Alberto struggles to impress his stoic new boss. It's decent enough, but doesn't feel all that substantial. It also isn't particularly amusing or emotionally affecting. It's enjoyable enough for what it is, but it almost feels inconsequential overall. It really could've done with being just a bit longer. Still, it's fine. 5/10.

Silent Parenting

No pun intended - this is another Pixar short. And while I have not watched all of them, I find that their quality is good. You may disagree of course, but I reckon you may also think that the movie this is based on (Luca) wasn't that good to begin with.

Talking about Luca - it makes more than sense to have seen the movie before you watch this. It is a continuation of that story and it has ... well characters react to each other in a certain way that only make sense if you have seen the movie.

Animation is really good and the characters are cool too. Now there is a learning curve and there is a morality in it you may not entirely agree with. But hopefully you can let your guard down and just accept this for what it is: a fun ride and a (very) short story adding some flavor to the world Luca created ...

Alberto's new life

After the conclusion of that story of friendship seen in Luca, this short film comes to show what became of Alberto. The story presents Alberto as someone trying to adapt to his new life with Massimo. What Alberto has to go through is not at all easy and his relationship with Massimo begins as something between a mentor and an apprentice. Despite the difficulties and the fact that Alberto does not seem to be able to adapt to his new environment, it can be discovered that Massimo does not completely lose confidence and rather develops a paternal bond with Alberto. This story could perhaps have worked better as a feature-length or medium-length film at the very least. The short film may feel like an unnecessary or limited sequel, but the story it tells has the soul of Luca and that makes Ciao Alberto something interesting to watch. My final rating for this short film is an 8/10.

Ciao alberto is an adorable continuation to the film luca, showing us what alberto and massimo have been getting up to while giulia and luca are away at school.

It is heartfelt and funny. It tells people what they want to hear about alberto and massimo's relationship.

Cute.

Not needed. This is sequel of "Luca" but this shot scene didn't need. It wasn't bad, although i would prefer this short movie in the "Luca"'s post credit. Probably.
