Diverted away from theme and style of show

Warning: Spoilers
The entire show had an Oceans 11 feel. A fun, witty story about a motley crew trying to pull off the impossible. It had heart, and reeled the audience in.

The final chronological episode however (pink) was a sad, pointless episode that totally changed the feel of the show. Nearly everyone gets killed, the bonds aren't stolen, and there is no resolution whatsoever. Even Judy randomly decides to leave Stan. Horrible writing. Honestly feels like someone completely different wrote this episode. Ruined the show. Salas doesn't even get what he really deserves. There was no satisfying moment where it all came together. No climactic win or pivotal moment.

What was this??

I had to wait on making a review on this because I wasn't quite certain if my initial thoughts would have stayed the same after watching the white episode. I was not a huge fan of this episode simply because I thought the ending to these characters' stories was rushed and poorly executed. One of the only characters (Bob) that really didn't get to do much gets the most to do here which kind of annoyed me. This takes place 6 months after the heist and you can see the repercussions of that heist and the consequences it had on the crew.

It definitely loses that tone it established in the episodes prior to the heist. I think it just had to do with how much of a toll it took on the crew, how much it took out of them and how they had to live with that. That was the one aspect that I'm glad they showcased.

However, that is massively overshadowed by the fact that they had to resolve several storylines (Nazan,Bob,Stan & Judy, Leo & Ava, Leo & Graham, Leo & Hannah) which led to some rushed conclusions. I really didn't like the fact that Bob was the primary character in this episode. He was the most cliche character out of the bunch and all his decisions were quite predictable (that includes his revenge plot in this episode).

The white episode did shed some light here but it was at a bare minimum.

What did I just watch? Also... Why??

I watched most of the show in chronological order... so this was last and It's not so much that I'm disappointed as it is that I'm extremely confused.

The tone of this episode was very different from the rest of the series... Jai Courtney is great at playing a caricature of a violent Aussie criminal but that didn't mean there needed to be an episode that was mostly just angry Captain Boomerang. This felt like the end of a Guy Ritchie movie but without any of the things that make Guy Ritchie movies work. They tried to keep the plot on the same track and have the same emotional depth as the rest of the series but did so in the weirdest way possible so a. It didn't keep that depth and b. It really just leaves the viewer like "Seriously? This is how it ends?" At no point before this episode did I think I'd regret watching this show... I guess I still don't... but this episode belongs far away from the rest of the show.
