Best episode so far. The anticipation. The build up. The story. The action. Phenomenal! Can't wait for the remaining episodes. Truly a great job done by riot and the team.

Beyond my expectations
rumpqfdix20 November 2021
After first 6 episodes, I thought it just couldn't get any better.
Yet it did. The soundtrack, storyline, character development, all still there and getting even better. The ending is mindblowing, heart stopped for a sec.
Beatiful. 10/10.

This show always blows my expectations right out of the water silco drowned in!

Every scene is engaging and interesting this episode. The reveal in the cold open is both surprising and makes quite a lot of sense. The politics with jayce and the reluctant cure with Victor are excellent, directly continuing from last episode.
But of course, the main highlight is the bridge fight and the character dynamics and epic battle paid off excellently. This show has set a new standard for mature animated story telling and I'm really looking forward to the last 2 episodes.

Firelights Leader Revealed!

Warning: Spoilers
Great buildup in this episode! The reveal of the firelights leader being Ekko was predictable but was still really cool! Can't wait to see Viktor next episode :0 As always love the animation, particularly in the fight on the bridge at the end between Jinx and Ekko. Characters, dialogue and music amazing as always. Can't wait to see what happens next!
great episode

A Setup Episode, However...
bbevis-4795420 November 2021
Arcane is still consistently engaging. There is a lot going on in this episode and a lot if it is designed to setup inevitable conflicts in the last two episodes. That being said we get a return of a character that drives a lot of emotion, especially during the last ten minutes. Characters are given very tough decisions that will have consequences no matter the choice and I can't wait to see how it pays off.
Again, a shoutout to the artists who made Arcane. The animation, attention to detail, lighting, choreography of the action sequence in this episode is simply stunning. The end sequence on the bridge is absolutely incredible to the senses and trumps anything we get in big budget live action T. V. or Hollywood blockbusters.

The animations, the effects, the music!!!
Jinx humming walking down the bridge.
Ekko activating his ultimate to predict his moves, and then looking into jinx's eyes just as she betrays his little trust in her again.
Just everything about this episode is absolutely divine!

Best episode ever?

I've never played League of Legends, knew nothing about this universe and characters, but decided to give it a try. And it's been perfect since the first second, every episode lived up to the hype easily. But this one just broke me inside. One of the best episodes I've ever seen.
Almost a set up episode but the last 10 minutes are a masterpiece
uzair111111120 November 2021
Most of the episode was good buildup, reintroducing a major character and setting up future plot, but the final 10 minutes on the bridge and the fight was a masterpiece of a sequence and so intense.
Seriously one of the best fights ive seen in a TV show, not only because of how uniquely entertaining it was but because of the emotional context it showed. They couldve made it a simple fight but every scene in this show is elevated with perfect direction.
Easily the best episode of the show so far after episode 3 and 6.

I think the Ekko Jinx fight as kids showed a literal example of one of their games where Powder won
Neptune16524 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Ekko scene, was Ekko retracing his play fights with Powder and using it against jinx, it was both an emotional event and a show of how much he grew, as a secondary thing this is also a hint and a homage to his future abilities. Redo. The Ekko vs Jinx fight was feels. It looked like they both hesitated at some point: Jinx could have shot Ekko in that one moment but didn't and Ekko stopped hitting her at the end. The fact that they both agreed to do the game thing instead of fighting normally was really sad and beautiful at the same time. The grenade at the end. I think it was a glimpse of Powder who wanted to end it for good more than Jinx wanting to get Ekko. She didn't even try to put the grenade on him or just using his hesitation to counterattack. Very well-made scene but painful at the same time.
Astounding Animation

Hats off to the animation department for pulling off this magnificent feast for the senses.
As everyone is saying, the bridge scene was magnificent. THIS is what cinema is all about.
For all those calling this a "woke fest" and "cancer" due to the women being overly strong, this episode should prove more than ever that this is not the case.
Look how we get to actually see Ekko completely and utterly outclass Jinx in the end, (despite her having a real gun this time, and not a paint pistol,) leaving her bloody and incapacitated.
And it is Ekko with the heart of gold who can't finish the job off despite all she has done.
The Ekko Jinx fight was masterful and moving at the same time.

Amazing storytelling

This episode was my personal favourite. The silent language between Jinx and Ekko tells a whole story within itself. The style of animation in this show is truly astonishing. There was a change between styles in a fight that made the scene so much more emotional. Great episode.

Way too painful to see Jinx hurt this much. I really want to give her a hug
Scenery is absolutely gorgeous and my gosh the ficition is deeply captivating.
Those action sequences? Damn. They truly gave it all. Raw passion
-- btw: Chembaron and Zaun's mines plot was introduced too abruptly but it's finally good to see it represented in some way. URGOT IS COMING.

The Boy Done Good - Ekko the Firelight Leader
NiiBerry8 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Really enjoyed this episode. The rap music really helped pump you up and gives you a nice introduction to the Firelight leader, not so young Ekko.
Ekko has developed into a leader with parental nature and looks after his family.
We could see Mel's influence growing on Jayce, like the way Mel convinced Jayce to think about doing something his partner from the underworld Victor wouldn't. Looking forward to seeing Victor's fate.
Marcus backstory was useful.
I like the action, choreography, and the character development. Really good.

Most other series would have messed this up

Holy crap this episode is soooooo good. I'm watching it for the third time in less than a month and I'm just picking up so much stuff I didn't notice the first two times through. AND my wife is picking up on things I missed (like the fact that Jinx has made Silco her own messed up version of the classic "World's Greatest Dad" mug and an ashtray). The very opening scene of the entire series is Powder and Violet, as very young children, going through the aftermath of a battleground on a bridge and Powder is softly singing a song to herself as she walks along with one hand over her eyes and the other hand holding onto Violet who, as always, is trying to protect her. It's a great opening scene. Then in this episode I didn't realize the first time I watched it that Powder is softly humming the same song again, once again crossing that bridge with dead soldiers everywhere... only this time... they're all dead because of her. The changes that have happened in between those times, both to her and the world she lives in, are incredible.
And then can I just gush for a moment about the genius of Ekko not finishing Jinx off at the end? He very clearly warns Violet that Jinx cannot be saved and that Powder is dead to them and all of that. And yet when the moment comes for him to probably kill her, he hesitates. In almost any other series a character contradicting their words with their actions like that would be a mistake and the result of poor writing. But in Arcane it's pure genius.
More than any series I've seen recently this one has so many layers and so much going on in each scene it just blows my mind. I am in utter awe of the writers and directors for piecing it all together so amazingly. That scene is just one of many that are brilliant. A lot of series disappoint me but this one delivers glory time and time again.

Jinx continues to be too OP
samyueldanyo1 December 2021
Jinx continues to pull bombs and guns which should weigh 10s of kgs literally out of nothing. She was hit with a metal rod on her head and just continues fighting.
While this is a fantasy series there clearly are physical laws established in the universe and when characters do not abide by them in order to make it more dramatic - it actually takes away from the story.

Does not Disappoint

Building up for the conflict... 40 min is too short!
Great reveal of the firelight leader For VIKTOR, because I know that he's gonna be deformed to some extent, his plot became a little predictable other than his interactions with Singed.
I don't like the rap insert during fight scenes. Sometimes it feels a little staged and the music not 100% suitable.
Jayce is facing lots of difficult choices and I'd love to hear more about councilor Medarda because she sort of seems to be manipulative.

Second episode that is only good and not great
mostlyharmless-3072821 November 2021
These last two episodes have been less engrossing then the previous ones (especially when comparing them to my personal favorites, episodes 3 and 4), but nonetheless they have been an absolute feast for the eyes and that last sequence on the bridge was amazing!
