Alicia's been working on a high profile lawsuit the firm's client, Tim Willens, has launched against a loud-mouthed TV show host Duke Roscoe. He repeatedly accused Tim's wife of murdering their missing daughter and she eventually committed suicide. Roscoe's defense is his First Amendment right to free speech. Alicia is pulled off that file to work on a divorce case when Marie Browning, wife of State's Attorney Glenn Childs who prosecuted her husband Peter, wants to end her marriage. It quickly becomes apparent that Browning knows something about Peter's conviction and is using Alicia to get the settlement she wants.
