- 1983 during a musical festival on streets of France many artist from different countries perform their culture but what catches eyes of some journalist is a middle aged man performing on folk songs of Maharahstra.This man is identified as Saahir Sable (Krishnarao Ganpatrao Sable) who is a big name in the folk music of Maharashtra so the Russian media try to interview him.Saahir Sable (Krishna) discloses that he was born in a small village in Maharashtra and loved singing which was opposed by his mother as she waned him to study as his father being devotional singer couldn't earn much.When Krishna's mother finds about his love for singing she sends him to his grandmothers place for further studies where he meets mentor Sane Guruji who encourages him to sing and Krishna runs back home.At some point he realizes that his mother isn't happy with his singing and decides to quit but as an adult he reaches Mumbai to work in mills and again begins his love for singing and quits his stable job.Finally Krishna's efforts pay as he starts to do some small shows and meets his future wife Bhanumati whose poems he starts converting it into playwrights and songs.Krishna becomes a big name but his mother isn't still happy with him.Years pass by and Bhanumati also feels that Krishna is getting all credits and she is left aside and decides to part ways.But being an artist Krishna overcomes all difficulties and keeps the show on then enters Malti in his life who takes care of him and is family and things are going well until a drought in Maharashtra makes things ugly for him and his troupe.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com
