An amazing story and a whole world to learn from
enserve18 March 2012
Following the journeys of Richard Evan Schultes through the ancient cultures of the Amazon Rainforest and witnessing their relations with earth and nature, this documentary holds an intriguing conducting line inspired by Wade Davis book: One River. As the story behind the research develops, it goes deeper into the rain-forest along the Apaporis river and finds more realistic events of the magic connections between the ancient wisdom of men and the miracle cycles of life, death and rebirth. The pictures of Doctor Schultes taken 60 years ago are the puzzle pieces that keep the attention on the storyline, making it more than a plain documentary on ethnobotany. Worth a look, will help to understand the consciousness of the Amazon inhabitants on their role in the Earth equilibrium and conservation.
