Supremely talented, a welcome return, but how about a happy song?
Sleepin_Dragon24 November 2021
Wonderful to see the great Adele back on stage, looking and sounding awesome.

Her voice is sounding incredible, she has definitely looked after it, and treated it very, very well, there is no denying that. If I was to be a little niggly, I would have to say that some of the material was a little depressing, I disagree with those that say she's been reimagined, or changed, the material hasn't.

What I wouldn't give to see Adele perform some metal, her voice would suit it perfectly, I'm not saying I want her only singing happy, chirpy songs, but the odd one now and then would be nice.

Well produced, it was very entertaining, and she has a glorious personality, love Adele. 8/10.

8/10.

Grand Presentation Of Adele
DKosty12315 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
From California a stunning concert with Adele presenting her greatest songs and some new ones from her latest release. Smartly done and the same Director who has worked on her videos before definitely benefits the presentation. CBS/HARPO combined putting this together and Oprah Interview Segments space the concert clips throughout.

What the interview segments reveal is some of the inspirations and personal feelings of Adele. There are also views about the inspiration behind the music. As for her life journey, she is in a way like everyone. She sets out her priorities in life and her wishes for her child. She is kind of like maybe she will have another one.

Adele expresses a dislike of aging and from life experience one thing she should know is have the next child sooner rather than later. Aging makes having a child more difficult for anyone and agreed is her view that aging is no fun.

The presentation in front of a celebrity audience in an outdoor venue which features a luma light presentation on the Observatory behind her which is magnificent. The Marriage Proposal at the show for a surprised woman is staged well. This gets done often in other venues, but here she seems really shocked and in awe of the front row presence she is brought into.

It is nice to see a California sunset on a nice hazy day in the background. While the glances at the Celebrity Audience are fine, the director is smart in not letting those famous mugs distract from the presentation working them into the fabric of the program. Music being done to support her and back=up singers are shown, and also kept to a minimum. The music is a 1 woman show.

The director does a fine job on the Interview segments with Oprah combining a great background enough with Adele and Oprah to make the visual quite enjoyable. This might even be nicer if it comes out with un-aired footage someplace and without the advertising which does get in the way of continuity at times. The ads are the reason I will not go to the highest rating here.

Adele is kind of like The Masters in Golf is to music. The presentation might have been smoother if all the ads were around it instead of interrupting it. However, a dollar is always a dollar and lots of them were spent here and it shows. As far as I am concerned, Adele is a priceless musical treasure. When you encounter one of these, your mouth should open in awe of what your ears experience, and be overpowered.

Great show! A bit less Oprah would've been nice though...
hsmggr7 January 2022
Alright, the most important thing: the concert is great. A setlist with a good mix of hits and new songs. And for a documentairy it's nice that it has an interview, but there is a lot of talking between the songs.

Adele - A voice of and for every generation
augustestorm15 November 2021
Adele can sing LIVE and you can't see that much anywhere these days, especially not the night before during the SNL. Her lyrics are poetic. Her voice is better than ever. Her ability to put so much emotions in every lines of her songs is unmatched. From her timeless classics, 'Rolling in the Deep' and 'Someone Like You', to her new songs and soon to be her classics, 'Hold On' and 'Love is a Game', Adele is truly a once in a generation artist, a voice of and for every generation.

BRILLIANT

Warning: Spoilers
Adele + Oprah = Perfection. This was the kind of special you look back and you simply can't decide what was your favorite moment... I really can't decide. Adele voice was out of this world as we expected from a once in a generation artist, Oprah's interview was so brutally honest and was able to revel a part of Adele that many people didn't used to know, Adele's new songs are masterpieces like no other, the place the concert was held is simply stunning and now I just wanna know from whom was the idea to make a proposal in the middle of the show, that was brilliant (who didn't cry at that part watched it all wrong). This was one of the best special I've ever seen!

There's no denying Adele is the artist of my life. This special was vulnerable, honest, funny, and just all around the best thing I've ever watched. She sounds better than ever and all these new songs sound like classics already.

Reimagining Adele
saturnwriter15 November 2021
After 6 years away from the music scene, it might be rigorous for most artists to get back up on stage and deliver quality art; clearly not in the case of THE Adele.

Effortlessly captivating and convincing, Adele is back to remind us what true music is all about. Although life wasn't so easy on her these past few years, with her divorce, being a single mother, and a conspicuous new look, she took it upon herself to tell her story and the truth behind the facade that the tabloids painted over the years. Oprah and Adele made a good team, one that took us on an inspiring and emotional ride. But the real star of the show was THE VOICE. Previewing some new songs like I Drink Wine, Hold On, Love is a Game from her upcoming album 30, Adele reminded us why she is the absolute star that she is today. And not to forget a nostalgic trip down adele lane hearing old songs live after years, that only seems to have gotten better over time.

All in all, the show was a HIT - A star-studded audience, powerful music, lyricism at its finest, an honest interview, and the humorous Adele, all combined with that one-in-a-billion voice, made for a special Sunday night. If you haven't watched it, I suggest you do. And you can also pre-order Adele's upcoming album 30 online! Surely seems like a classic!

PERFECT

Warning: Spoilers
I love the show. I love Oprah and Adele. Adele look really gorgeus in the black dress, her voice is great as usual. Her highnote in when we were young is perfect and incredible. I love all of her new songs that she performed.

Interview ruins the movie
blakewilliamvernon8 April 2023
The interview didn't convince me that Adele is particularly interesting. It doesn't unmask a creative genius or show insight or inspire in any way. Oprah asks probing tabloid like questions about family, her weight, mental health, and relationships.

Interview: 6/10

Adele gives one of the greatest performances of the 21st century against the stunning Griffith Observatory. The sky changes to the mood of the songs and there's a where's waldo like aspect of spotting celebrities in the crowd. The event feels elegant and sophisticated. Adele sings her greatest hits with intensity, passion, and virtuosity.

Concert: 10/10

The interview sadly cuts into the concert too much and affects the impact of Adeles stunning performance.

Absolutely manificent
thaonguyen-3964016 November 2021
How often do you listen to music? I can listen to music anywhere with my smartphone and headphones. The music that I like the most is Pop music. So I love Adele. She is a superstar with an admirable voice. Adele's songs utouches my heart and make me feel easy. Especially in this concert, there are few her new songs, which really impress me. Adele is a pure talent, and she is a music industry. I am excited to enjoy album Adele 30.

Trust me, you will like Adele One Night Only.

Less talking more singing
jmcauley-115 November 2021
I love Oprah and Adele but next time please do the interview before the show, not in and out. It ruins the mood! Also a wardrobe change or two would have been nice, even though I loved the dress. But all black during the holidays? Setting was beautiful and Adele sounded great as usual.

Nothing natural
firti20 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Such a shame to see all those talented artists loose their next door image become puppets of big giant production firms. Everything felt so fake and scripted including the old trick she use that she forgets the lyrics and re start a song! She is americanized living in LA and can not sing like with raw feelings anymore when she used to sing when she was 21 and now she is out of touch.

Adele is immaculate
faubriro15 November 2021
Adele gave us a good energy and a good time. She was amazing and the way she sang 3 new songs of her new coming album was awesome. She transmitted her journey from the last 5 years something that make the audience feel like they were there during those hard times.

Adele never sounded better
navnoor-singh9716 November 2021
It's an incredible show which is both music to eyes and ears. It's visually stunning and so is Adele, with a start-studded audience. A must watch for daydreamers(Adele fans) and music lovers in general. The interview part with Oprah is so raw and beautiful.

This show is mis-titled
wjsmith41923 January 2022
This is The Oprah Winfrey Show with songs by Adele. It opens with Oprah and after the first song, Hello, it cut to an interview segment. If I wanted to watch Oprah, I'd go to OWN or I'd watch an Oprah episode after the concert. I quit 2 minutes in. I wanted to hear Adele in concert...only Adele.

Great show
samsmite10 March 2022
An entertaining and honest show. I believe even if you're not particularly a fan of her music, you're still gonna enjoy it a lot. It has a very good production. Adele always has been a myth outside of her music. She obviously doesn't like the celebrity side of being a singer and artist and bc of that, she is one the most real celebrities you're going to find out there.

Superb, flawless, funny. Down to earth woman!!!!

Even in that dress which was visibly uncomfortable for her, she belts out the notes..this is perfection to infinity.

Everyone must watch this concert. The interview with Oprah was good.
