"If you don't help me, I can't help you"

Warning: Spoilers
A very focused episode with perhaps one too many self-righteous moments from certain characters but a nice feeling of community.Even though it's Harry's stupidity that has caused all the problems, it's hard not to feel sympathy for him.He seems to have come a long way from the sulky teenager we first encountered and instead has a feeling of loneliness around him, especially with Kate's typical heavy-handed reaction.Harry and Declan both get their moments of nobility as they prepare to sacrifice everything for their friends but there's an unfortunate uncertainty around the question of whether or not Harry was setting Declan up or not.

Kyle being nice shows a pleasing depth to his character, even if it is just a ploy to bed Donna.Despite this, she actually seems to be enjoying the attention somewhat. It all leads to a couple of nice showdowns between Kate and Amanda which would have been even better without the "Next time" trailer defusing all the tension.

The subplot of Lou and Lyn demonstrating their rivalry over who's best at running the store is somewhat amusing and it's nice to see the older characters being given some fun stuff to do that doesn't involve tired sex jokes or heavy-handed moralising.
