Must every episode be a spy episode?

One of the reasons I started to hate the Hawaii 5-0 reboot was because of the far fetched notion of a retired navy seal being asked to recur the navy, cia, the world. Just seemed like the main actor pushed for ego driven plots

The whole mI6 constantly coming up is feeling the same way. And the Brit actor that was annoying in the show Strike Back is now plaguing this show in her several episode guest star appearances.

Producers, please understand that we don't want nor like every episode to be over the top. Take a clue from the original show. Remember when magnum was a private investigator? The stories were closer to home. Relatable. And only a few special times were they saving the world.

So what is with the "I don't shoot" Magnum?

I can understand not wanting to make him a "heartless killer" but as usual, they take it to the woke level. When you are fighting ruthless killers for your life, you use a gun... Going out of your way to show him literally throwing away a gun numerous times... really. The episode should have ended with Juliet getting killed because Magnum didnt want to shoot anyone. Pretending like this just makes you look stupid... I agree with the other reviewer that you do not need to make every episode "Mission Impossible." With Rick battling the FBI and Juliet battling MI6, you tried to squeeze 2 full length action movies into one episode...
